Ok

For the bad news:

My mum took me to the chemist at High St near the Mad Butcher for a blood pressure reading and it read at 160 and this morning she took me to the doctor and it read 145.Should people with High Blood pressure workout because I have been told I have to submit samples of blood tomorrow and the week after next week

The brighter side:

I need a personal trainer or gym partner who can work out with me in the Naenae gym if the all clear to workout is given the go ahead by my GP

BG's right, training and diet will def help in many cases - but not all, and that's what the blood work will show.

Speaking as a former lard-ass who had all sorts of cardio-vascular 'warning flags', now I'm so freakin' normal it's scary ! (normal BP, wicked-low resting HR, all the good stuff)

Listen to your GP, learn to analyse how your body feels, and take it slowly at first but you will do yourself all kinds of good by working out.

dam straight you can workout ever seen the biggest loser they have HBP bad cholesterol etc and look how hard they train the bad thing about doctors is they dont get educated on exercise so all they wanna do is give you drugs ive had bp at 175/72 and I trained my ass off it was the only way it would ever come down there are a few guidelines like no exercises overhead i.e lat pulldowns, shoulder press etc also not training to failure best hing is to get a personal trainer who knows wat they are doing I eould help but im in auckland sorry
