Hey,

Did anyone go to the viaduct and watch the national bodybuilding?

Ok no where near what you see in the magazines, but we have some pretty good physiques out there.

Was a good comp but not such a good venue.

Yup.. I was there for the prejudging. Well, half the prejudging. It must have been about 12 hours long, by the time it finished?!

I agree - not a great venue in hindsight, but it was certainly worth them trying. Had it worked better, it could have raised the profile of the sport quite a bit and attracted a lot of new members. I think the problem was that having paid to get into the expo, no-one wanted to pay again to see the bbers. That meant you only got the people who were already interested in bbing and had booked tickets specifically for the comp. I wonder if they'd have "converted" more people if they hadn't charged to see the pre-judging?

Having said that, there was really too much noise outside (damn those Miada people next door!), and the facilities backstage were lacking a bit too, I heard.

Still, I was pretty impressed with the competitors I saw.

Yeah i went to the show,

I really thought it was a crap venue aye. Lighting was no good and the noise didn't help. There were come awesome bodies though. Joe Ulberg and Mo. O for awesome!!! I think CNI's is a good venue. Should be a good show this year.
