I understand if this topic gets NO replies and sorry if its not really related just didnt know who to ask:

has anyone else noticed that Diamond Pasta range has only around 30g of carbs per 100g compared to other brands that will have around 70g? I love pasta and have been trying to watch my carb intake so this seems to good to be true! Especially since its all made outta the same durum wheat? cheers

Pasta is great for pouring carbs in ...ie bulking etc :nod: find it strange one has more than double the carbs than another though :? Type of pasta probably...are trhey both wheat pastas or is one an egg pasta?

Yeah thats what I mean! Both types are durum wheat apparently. I wonder if Goodman Fielders (Diamond manufacturer) made a cockup of their nutritional info?! Yeah if only bulking was my goal..I'd stuff myself with the goodness of carbs =P~ Does egg pasta have less carbs?

Hello, and guess what????

I have just rung Diamond pasta as I was under the same impression as many other people.

None of their pasta is low-carb!!!!

All the other brands say the carbs in 100 grams of pasta is 70-90g.

This is for the dried pasta.

Diamond on the other hand, are quoteing carbs in 100grams of cooked pasta.

The heading in nutritional box states;

When prepared as directed.

They could have put cooked not dried wieght.

I told them it was misleading and that they were the only Brand talking about cooked grams of pasta.

Shame on you DIAMOND.
