Alright... how much is safe to battle/prevent worsening of flu/sore throat/cold ?

Ive got all the classic symptoms again.. Im pretty sure its the dieting tahts taking a toll on my body.

Vitamin C is water soluble, so as I understand it you can pretty much take as much as you like and the body can easily excrete what it doesn't need.

I'm not sure it is really effective for colds though. Apparently a large dose of Vitamin A helps, although it is possible to overdose on that, so you could just take a bit more than the recommended dose. Also, any kind of amphetamine-based drug will help, but I don't think there is much licitly available these days.

AGREE water soluble and you piss out what you don't need. however some contraceptives can be affected by excess vit C.

As a supplement you should get your vit c from raw foods, kiwi and oranges. this provides roughage and allows more to be abosrbed, or absorbed easier.

Like Frogie says, get it from raw foods, green peppers/capsicums have a high concentration. The dieting shouldn't be the reason you are getting sick! I see you post here at all hours of the night, perhaps you should look at eating more raw veges, and getting good, solid sleep!

I get 8 hours of sleep everyday Waldo, just that my body is on a different clock to most normal people due to the nature of my work... usually return by 2/3 am. Then its time for my cottage cheese and nzbb surf session. Thanks for the advice everyone... 3g a day.. shite thats gonna be a lot of those tiny bloody 250mg tablets lol.

Yeah im getting a lotta fresh salads these days as i diet down... dan flatulence as well that comes with it.
