My big fat gut

Ok, its not that bad, but its starting to look like I may be preganant. (I'm a guy.)

I put on 8kg and some mass which is what I'm aiming for, to get as big as possible in a good looking way, not fat.

Is just cardio the best way to lose the gut? Run, run and run?

I was hoping maybe some of you guys use to have a gut and were able to get rid of it and have a nice looking stomach.

The way that I personally lost body fat was to run for 40 minutes in the morning with my heart rate around 125-130 BPM (I'm 31) using a polar heart rate monitor. This was done before breakfast 5 days a week whilst still hitting the iron in the afternoon. I kept the protein intake high, but lowered the carbs in the afternoon/evening and didn't eat 2 hours before bed. If I did then I had a protein shake with water. Additionally to that I did a ab workout an hour after eating in the evening and I could really see the difference.

What I would recommend is a book by Gregg Avedon called "Muscle Chow" A great diet strategy book and plenty of tasty recipes. You should look at the "ripped" cycle section in the book for dropping body fat, it really works.

Good Luck

Bazza.
