I don't really drink that much....worked in the liquor business a bit, got real over the whole thing.

Don't mind a good scotch - but even if you're not drinking for effect there's a whole lot of tosspots out there - waffling on about the vintage, the hints of elderberry or camomile...

Other pros of drinking:

-Better looking (myself and females)

-wit and charm increase

-makes u stronger

-decisions come alot quicker and easily

I could go on forever....

:pfft:

I don't drink that often, but when I do, its because I like the taste. Plus I can speak many, many languages when I drink \:D/

So basicly what every1 is saying is Training/diet comes way b4 beers.

Damn, I was a very heavy drinker, but have toned it down to just a couple during the week, getting less and less..... i havnt noticed much difference to be honest

although i am more keen to get up and run at 5 in the mornings than i was lol

I’m a massive binge drinker…once I start I can’t stop…

Been out on the town every weekend for the last 4 weeks and spent almost a grand each week boozing…I enjoy a good drink and whatever else is going around.

Hasn’t affect my training too much yet…still growing and getting leaner – if I’m feeling a little unmotivated come Monday – I train legs to kick things up a notch...might be doing a comp in 8 weeks so I better start sorting my shit out.

I drink alcohol because I enjoy getting absolutely shit faced, acting like an idiot then driving home at 8am in the morning because the last bar closed at 7.

i dont drink too often anymore. going out on the town or whatever, just too much violence and bullshit with drinking. i see it everywhere. try this, walk through town on a sat night, down the strip, sober, and see how much bullshit and street violence you see.

i pretty much stopped drinking when, about four months ago i went out on the town with some mates, first time in ages. horible situation arose, hostility etc, i tried to get away but was chased and attacked by one dude, i ended up taking all his teeth from his mouth, smearing his nose across one side of his face and putting him into a hospitilised state.

f*ck that shit.

i fight in the ring only, and cos i was soooooo drunk i couldnt put the brakes on once i was going.

scarey.

fully puts me off it. for the sake i am in "less controll of myself"...

so, i dont party for the sake of partying anymore.

i only do it at occasional events and with people who i know.... i guess i will make the odd exeption, however, i will be very careful...

Dunedin has bad rep for Street Violence, This one dude was walking through town, a group of guys came up and asked for lighter, he didnt have one, so one guy smacked him, knocked a few teeth out broke the guys jaw, and the group of guys just stood there cheering him on. Not Good its always unprovoked attacks, one day they will try hit someone that knows how to defend themselves and it will be hello hospital.

I always get guys mouthing off at me in town, mainly because when they ask for something i don't have it, but i just ignore them and carry on walking, don't answer back, There will be a day i will have to let my blackbelt do the talking :naughty: but until then, i'll remain calm and keep walking :)

that sort of street violence seems to be a nationwide problem.

The other week when I was walking home from town two guys came up to and said "empty your pockets or I'll break your nose". One guy was real stocky (aka fat) and the other tall and skinny. They could have easily punished me....

All I wish is that the NZ Olympic Committee could have been there...because Usain Bolt had nothing on me. I must have done the hundred in under 9 seconds.

Too much weights, not enough speed work.

Palmerston North is full of cunts looking for any kind of trouble...I lived there for 3 years...from what I hear Christchurch is very much the same (younger brother lives there).

Ever heard of catching a taxi home rather than walking?...imo youre making yourself a target walking home in the middle of the night by yourself.

Try being a doorman drunk people are great. :^o

Been a doorman up here in Auckland for over 3 years...Auckland is fairly tame in regards to the level of violence and being able to walk down the street peacefully compared to some cities IMO.

Really? i would have thought youd get heaps of trouble up there? are fights ect common at your bars?

I was comparing Auckland to Christchurch / Palmy etc...

We get trouble up here, no doubt...fighting is just part of a normal fri sat night. Just heard that it's worse elsewhere...
