Just wondering if they have changed their addy or is it down, as when I click on it in my links I get nothing?!.....Trying to look up some info for a client who is considering competing for the first time.

Cheers

ds

Sorry, ds - we've been having problems with the domain server for the past 3 weeks. I've still been able to update the site with a lot of perserverance, and it can take a few attempts (and slow response times) to access it.

I'm waiting on technical assistance to fix the problem, so if there's anything you or your client needs to know in the meantime, please ask me and I'll help you out.

Hi Terry

Got a friend competing at the CNI's; she is in one of the Physique ladies classes. I heard they have to have a black bikini only. Is that right?

Thanks mate

Hey Grego - no, the bikinis for physique competitors (male & female) can be any colour .. as long as it is one colour and not too shiny. If your friend has any doubts, get her to contact Kaye O'Neill who is one of the CNI event organisers and also one of our most experienced judges.

You could also look at:

NABBA South Island Championships

26th September 2009

Christchurch Girls High School.

10 Matai Street West, Riccarton - Further details coming soon to the Canterbury Regional page.

or

NABBA 'Top of the South' Champs

3rd October 2009

Marlborough Civic Theatre.

Blenheim - Further details coming soon to the Nelson Bays Regional page.

I'll be competing at the "Top of the South" competition and it looks like it should be a good one. NABBA "Mr Universe" Mark Anderson Runs that show. Mark is also the winner of the "Bendigo Country Classic Invitational" in Australia early August. He always gets great sponsors and it will be well run.

Also with flights fairly cheap around the main centres, you might like to suggest

NABBA Wellington

10th October 2009

Lower Hutt Town Hall

Lower Hutt

I'll be there too but taking a team through and a fellow competitior Andrew Murray Open Athletic Short will be there too taking on Dave Weeks! Can't wait for that show down!

Hope this helps.

Cheers

A few questions MT as I cant remember just off the top of my head....

- Is 40+ years Masters Category?

- What are the height (weight) classes for Classic again?

Thanks

ds

Yes, ds - Masters Men 40+ and 50+ (and 60+ is available at Nationals) - you qualify the year you turn that age e.g. if you are 39 now and not 40 until December you can compete now in the 40+ class). For women, the age classes are 35+ and 45+.

The new Classic men's ratios (to be implemented from our next event on Sept 12) are:

1. Up to & incl 170 cm

Max Weight [kg] = (Height [cm] – 100) + 2 [kg]

2. Up to & incl 175 cm

Max Weight [kg] = (Height [cm] -100) + 4 [kg]

3. Up to 180cm

Max Weight [kg] = (Height [cm] -100) + 6 [kg]

4. Over 180 cm

Max Weight [kg] = (Height [cm] -100) + 8 [kg]

5. Over 190 cm

Max Weight [kg] = (Height [cm] – 100) + 9 [kg]

6. Over 198cm

Max Weight [kg] = (Height [cm] – 100) + 10 [kg]

I must say those weights are very fair.

Nice work.

I received notification this morning that the NZFBB domain server has been moved and all the technical adjustments have been made.

I've just made a couple of updates and everything I have check so far looks fine ... the biggest plus is the response times are excellent, so it looks like we are back in action - http://www.nzfbb.org.nz. \:D/
