Hi all. As you can guess by the belle in my name I'm a chick. Have been checking out this site for the past few weeks so thought I had better join in, instead of lurking in the background :). Looks like a pretty cool site with lots of experienced peeps sharing good info and a bit of humour on the side 8) .

Well a bit about me....am in my 8th week of going to the gym. Haven't really been into fitness before just the odd bit of walking in the summer. Have just turned 40 and decided it was time to get my sh@#t together and lose a couple of kilos and do a bit of sculpting (you know the parts the don't defy gravity anymore :cry: ). Started on a cardio programme and doing a few weights with the machines. Saw some changes to my body and now I'm hooked. Ditched the weight machines now using mainly free weights (just little ones tho :oops: ) and am 3weeks into the bodybuilding.com - 12 week programme for women and am eating low carb, low fat, moderate protein diet and loving it :nod: Pretty much live at the gym 5 days a week in between work and family. Height 165cm, weight (was 60kg) now 57kg. Thought I might start a journal too.. keep a record of my progress and eating as I'm sure it can be tweaked a bit.
