ok... I got my leg done when I was in a death metal band, and doing muay thai. I thought the leg work would help cover the bruises. it did. I also didn't wear shorts at the time, so it didn't matter.

Now that I have a more nutritious lifestyle, and work out, I have put on good weight and wear shorts in summer now. Oh well, no regrets, though. Each piece on my leg has a story.

My back has 2 pieces, as seen earlier. Satan is in the middle, while a small demon is on my right.

My stomach has "Our Wine" in latin on it, which I got from reading literature. on witchcraft and dark ages rituals. Apparently the concoction of 'herbs' that was drunk at black sabbaths, that made them 'fly' was referred to as 'our wine'. As teh lifestyle of a metal singer involved being fuckd up, I felt it was appropriate. Having a father that made wine also helps to explain it to the masses, though politically and morally acceptable :twisted:

The left side of my ribcage has a demon on it, that represented those that walk a fine line between life and death...

My right arm is of a dragon, representing knowledge thrugh experience.

The flames coming out of my pubes (not lised above) rise above the number "13"...

My left arm has a small green tribal design with an eye in the middle. it was my first. a blend of some of my pics and the tattooists.

So there you have it. I spilt the blood on the matter.

Satan is a billy goat? Nah jokes those tatts are pretty full on dude, I laughed at your justification for the 'our wine' tattoo being related to your Winemaker Dad when people you explained it to would see all the demon tattoos as well

Not if you go to thailand or indo ... some really good artists there: My mate got a 1/2 sleeve - I think it cost a little over 250 kiwi - tribal but has a bit of detail. very impressive.

I'm heading to Thailand at the end of this year and want to get a tatt. Been looking online though and a lot of the the Thai tattoos aren't really my thing but some I like (below), I also think they can do all types of tattoos from tribal to jap pretty easily. I would be interested to know how your mate found a good artist, I guess they might have photos of their previous work and you can judge from that...

Would be interested to see some photos of tattoos people think are amazing since I'm still undecided what I want to get...

Been trying to decide for ages what tattoo I want, and my parents finally approved! Since im Chinese i have decided to get a Chinese character tattoo, my name in chinese means courage, and i really like the proverb "courage knows no fear" so im getting four characters. I wanted it on the inside of my forearm, but have to take into account future job prospects once im finished uni.

So it will either be down the left hand side of my body, parallel to my arm, or on my back. still deciding

Hey mung you could get it on the inside of your arm between elbow and arm pit.You can get away with wearing a short sleeve that way.Little more discreet????????.

I have the Japanese kanji for "honour" (it's also my avatar <---- ). It's down my right tricep, so still easily hidden by a shirt when necessary. Once I get round to it, I'll be getting "loyalty" down the left

yea those are more eoropean tribal tats the ones ive displayed are a mix of maori samoan and hawain pretty much island tattoo's which we call pacific tribal tattoos dont get me wrong each island does have there own name for there tribal traditional tattoo e.g ta moko

The NZ tat on my left arm was my first, got the eruera on my right forearm next. The NZ looked stupid by itself so I got some ta moko to help fill out the arm. In a couple of weeks the left sleeve will be finished, just shading of existing work and also the forearm will be fully wrapped shouldnt take too long Im guessing maybe 5 hours.

I also have a half sleeve ta moko on my right arm that will become a full sleeve by the end of the year. Once the arms are done time to move onto back piece and chest panels!
