RE: POSTING ON THIS SUBJECT "STEROIDS"

Recommended Posts

Some of you May or May Not Know Of "MEDSAFE" the Goverment Organisation who is charged with Overseeing the "MEDICINES ACT" here in NZ ... Now the LAWS in regards to " STEROIDS " Importing , Pocession and or Onselling have changed in relationship to this field.

The Penalties for the above mentioned ... where once were miniaml ... now Hold "JAIL" terms for such breaches in the "LAW" and "MEDSAFE" are tarketing such activitys and breaches in the newly amended "MEDICINES ACT" as it has gained Public Notice of Late WORLD WIDE and HERE IN NZ .

So much so that in THAILAND the FBI,CIA and The American Armed Forces in conjuction with the Thailand Govt have swooped in to clean up what they call " A EPIDEMIC OF UNDER GROND STEROID SALES WORLD WIDE" .

So may I suggest 1: all that post on here be cearfull in your wording and openess and 2: To ALL useing Hormone Theropy should be at least under some Doctors cear and 3: Be very cearfull where you source your product as "MEDSAFE" are only doing there jobs and up holding the "Law" to there upmost ability .

Regard Marc .

Whilst I appreciate your concern & advice to members here Marc, I'm not so sure this public forum is a place to discuss this matter however since you have raised the issue & are clearly aware of how the law works in relation to the Medicines Act 1981, I will touch briefly on the penalties involved. There has always been a JAIL sentence as part of the Medicines Act. This is up to 6months imprisonment for breaches of the Act. What has changed is the fine which went from a max of $500 to $40,000 in an amendment to the Act in Oct 2008. I guess this is what you are referring to. As for the busts in Thailand. There is no evidence that New Zealand authorities were involved in this. There was some Australian LE involvement which is pretty close to home. President Obama has indicated that is not his priority to pursue the ongoing investigations around illegal steroid use that had been conducted by the FDA & the CIA under the Bush administration. One can only hope that Aust & NZ will heed this decision & be looking towards a more common sense approach like exists in the UK & Europe.

yeah - seems odd that oz and NZ havent adopted the same approach to UK??

I guess with NZ being relatively small there is still some political milage in restrictions on steroids.

I'm a pretty staunch kiwi - money is better for me in Oz but still wouldn't move over. But ... if they relaxed their position I would seriously consider it.

Australia has taken an even harder line on gear than NZ more in line with the US. We can only hope that NZ will lead the way in reforming the law surrounding the use of AAS. The more that people are made aware of its use in medicine not just in performance enhancement , & educated in the use of it in anti aging & in general well being as part of normal male health, the sooner it will be recognised for the overall health benefits that some AAS can provide.

Maybe we could hold a referendem MNZ? I very much doubt that the rules will ever slacken off, they are only going to get tougher...

So what's the situation in the UK?

Yep Optimass is right about the UK, only one instance several years back I think..one dude tried to get a shipping container in full of gear...dont know how he was going to explain that for personal use....but it is more lax in the UK..You can order online there and have no problems getting, admittedly I never tried, but my best mate ordered some plus ephadrine and it got it. Im still good mates with some of the Prison Guards in Wormwood Scrubs Prison in London(NOOOOO I DID NOT DO JAIL TIME!) a lot of those guys are on gear..cant blame them considering the fuktarts they have to deal with in their type of work...but yeah I got my gear thru that circle...quality stuff too...never ran across fake gear in all my time there....until I got back to NZ.

Canada I believe has similar laws to the UK. Although I read recently that WADA and the International Olympic Commitee are pressuring The UK and Canada to criminalize personal use before the London 2012 Olympics and the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.

It apparently is part of a push to pressure governments to internationalize steroid law in line with the US.

Lol the thing that cracks me up though is how women are allowed to use their own hormones as a contraception for recreational sex but we aren't allowed to use ours simply to enhance our performance :(

 - never thought of it in that context. Could be a good angle to go to government with  :pfft:

Using the UK system has been in the past a very successful way of getting gear into NZ. The guys would simply send what they wanted from whatever country to the UK then have friends or family repackage and then send over to NZ for them. The packages coming in from the UK are alot less likley to be questioned if packaging is done right as oppossed to the asian countries, there are shitloads of packages coming in from the UK at this time of year (bit of a wait) and everyones got a 'bro' in the UK. Use other countries systems to your advantage if your own doesn't gel with you.
