Satay Sauce

I’ve come up with a healthy alternative for a delicious, creamy, healthy (I think?!) satay sauce. Great over meat, veges, rice etc…

1.5 Tblsp Natural PB

2 Tblsp hot water (play around with quantities to achieve desired consistency)

1 Small clove garlic (crushed)

Dash of the following:

• Salt reduced soy sauce

• Lemon/White wine vinegar/Vinegar

Pinch of ginger (optional)

You could chuck it all into a saucepan on low until combined, mixing well or in a bowl in the microwave for around 10 seconds, adding hot water if you need to.

Enjoy :)

My favourite satay sauce recipe actually has coconut cream/milk in it (i know!), so to make it more healthy, you can substitute the coconut cream for natural yoghurt.

My recipe (in order of things that go into it, you'll have to use your intuition for the exact amounts of ingredients)

Onion (cook this til soft before continuing)

couple cloves of Garlic

A bit of Curry powder

Like, half a small jar of Peanut butter (I'm making a lot here)

Yoghurt (use coconut milk if you REALLY want)

Small amount of vinegar

Soy sauce (I don't bother with the less salt variety, cause the salt makes it taste nice, and its not like I ever eat at mcdonalds)

Also, I add about a teaspoon of sugar

Enough water to get the consistency you want

Ok so it's not THAT good for you. Delicious though.
