Buying Egg Whites by the litre...

Yep, I used them for quite a long time - as a shake, with a scoop of protein powder. They were a convenient way of getting a different source of protein.

i tryed this too, until i was told that u will only obsorb/process about 53% of the protien in eggs unless they are cooked, then u process the full 98%. i was gutted to find that out as they so easy to take down in a shake.

Their eggs aren't classed as uncooked -If you check out the FAQ on their site, "Eggcelâ„¢ is NOT classed as raw, due to the pasteurisation process"- so it's not 'raw' egg, so they reckon it's 100% bioavailable (normal protein powder on 70-80%).

I have read somewhere that if you have 2 types of different protein in 1 sitting you absorb more protein :)

So what is better? The liquid form or powder form? I have a 2kg bucket of powder eggcell..and I always keep a tiny container on hand in my gym bag in case I get sidetracked from my routine...is having the powder more versatile than the Liquid form or does it not matter???

I live of the stuff its so convenient. I have it in shakes sometimes instead of water so it makes your protein powder go alot further as you need less of it. I make all my omlets out of it.

Here are acouple of my secret recpes-

1 cup eggcel

1 cup oats

1 cup cold water

Nuke for 3 mins, stir then another 1 min. Perfect protein porridge, add some protein powder to flavour or some frozen berries. Or honey if after a workout and want to spike your insulin

1 cup of oats

1 cup eggcel

1 cup cottage cheese

1 scoop of protein powder

Blend alltogether in a blender and fry into pancakes as you normally would. Perfect protein pancakes :)

TIP: You've got about 30 minutes to properly fuel your body after your workout.

Although this short "Anabolic Window" is a critical period of time, it's during the next 24 to 48 hours that most muscle growth occurs.

After working out you can absorb and utilize almost 50% more protein than you can at a regular meal. Protein synthesis is highest at this time, so it only makes sense to feed your muscles what they need; protein. A good whey would be optimal in this case, since it is broken down into amino's and absorbed quicker than any other source. I suggest about 30-70grams of protein at this time depending on size and metabolism.

Rock on the "Anabolic Window" 8)
