Well as far as i know legs are one of the hardest things to get conditiond mint for a show, and as my legs are garenteed to be my weekest part, i was interested to know what others do as far as the last cuple of wks goes with in regards to:

a) when u last train them (weights)

and

b) when you stop the cardio (to help bring cuts out etc)

Ive always had problems with my legs, not a lack of muscle just not separated come comp time. Last year they came up the best I have had them (still not good enough though :pfft: ). )

In short a good off season will help them come up but since that is out of the question given the fact you are competing, I would go for over training.

Give them a quick smashing with leg extensions and hamstring curl super sets at the end of every workout.

You will lose some size but but they will separate! I would suggest you start doing this as early as possible to get max results. Another good one that BIGMD told me was to get on the spin bike, crank the resistance and concentrate on activated quads and hammys.

Finish squats on a tuesday...Wednesday, wear a ripped flannel kinda shorts, go to a palm tree and start kicking it like kickboxer. then on friday have your trainer tie your legs and lie on a bench while he pulls the rope it stretches your legs.lol

smoan muscle is right i think last comp i did i never trained legs just from laziness and stupidity but 4 weeks out i started doing leg extns after every workout reps and reps they werent big but definitely gave me cuts and bought some striations out although they were small

this time around ive been training legs hard out to get some size and il start from nxt week smashing the leg extns again every workout.

hundreds of reps - ext and ham curls, when you say every workout - you mean just when you train legs right? If it was every workout, wouldn't that be overtraining.

Finish squats on a tuesday...Wednesday, wear a ripped flannel kinda shorts, go to a palm tree and start kicking it like kickboxer. then on friday have your trainer tie your legs and lie on a bench while he pulls the rope it stretches your legs.lol

Last time I heard of a thai boxer (yes he was from an Auckland gym) he used to practice his roundhouse by kicking trees, what a twit.

hmmm, well theres a few different oppinions here already so this hasnt giving me a straight answer on what to do, but i guess every1 is different and u gota find wot suits yourself in the end :?

soo as my legs dnt have alot of shape or mass but also as they are always pumped/tight(due to my cardio twice a day every day at the mo)they tend to not have much deffinition even as my bf is gettin lower, so im thinking mabe in my case im better go with the opinion on drop the legs workout on the last wk and possible just drop the last cuple of days cardio to insure they free up and seperate a bit :pray: :roll:

This technique came from Richard Parnham and he has some of the best legs around. It works trust me.

last leg workout weekend before show. hiot them hard.cardio up to wed hard do couple of ver very light on thursday walks if you want. spend rest of time on ur arse feet in the air watching ESPN. lol i have for the last 2 wks
