15 Doz eggs

5kg Chicken breast (skinless boneless - came in 5kg boxes pretty cheap)

2kg Eye fillet (would've got more but due to the price it's a bit of a luxury meal!)

4.5kg Oats

4kg Rice

2kg Eatme WPI

Needa shop at Moore Wilsons more often... most of this bunch should sort me for a couple weeks :nod:

Moore wilsons is verrrry nice store! I got some eye fillet the other day it was delicious! I love that it's sold in 1.5kg + slabs! <3

Yeah buying by the 30 tray from supermarkets just doesn't cut it for me anymore unfortunately! I'm having 10 whites for breakfast at the moment as well as occasionally a few more later in the day, and my flatmate takes some as well (not as much as me though :pfft:). So unfortunately they won't last too long I reckon. But for only $40 I thought "why not?" :)

And yeah, checked out the Mad Butcher first for meat, found they were a couple dollars per kilo more expensive than MW :? So went back to MW and grabbed a couple kilo, and the meat also looked in better shape (and from what I had this afternoon, tasted better than the last lot I had from the MB =P~ )

Oh, forgot to stick the 4kg rice in there - wanted to buy a bigger bag of it but they only had brown in 2kg bags... Never really been a big rice eater so I'll see how long the 4kg lasts before I start buying bigger amounts anywho.

I wish! Nah, it was my first big shop for the year so needed to stock up on a few things. Most of it should last a wee while hopefully.

How much for a 5kg box of chicken?

Um, from memory it was $14 per kilo for the skin-on ones, which is what I thought I had purchased but they ended up being skinless when I took them out anyway :-s :shrug: So I paid skin-on price (I don't mind cooking with skin on or peeling it off myself to save a couple of bucks a kilo) for skinless chook tits. I think the skinless ones were $15 or $16 per kilo which was a good $5-6 less than what I used to pay at Woolies :oops: So I'm happy with that. I also believe if you buy a bigger amount you get it cheaper per kilo, but I don't have the space in the freezer to go too crazy.

What size are the chickens that come in 5kg box?

They're just Chicken Breasts GR, but they were roughly 125-150ish grams each I think? A meal will be 2 at a time at least 8)
