Need help with first cutting phase please

I've been bulking up for about the past 4 months and have ended up at around 109kg of which a large part is fat. I started out at around 105kg and initially dropped about 3-4kg before cutting out the cardio element of my routine.

I really need some help with this new aspect of BBing, (new to me anyway) lift big, eat big, came easy.

I'm cycling off creatine this week just as part of the 8 on 4 off cycle (is this a good thing for cutting or not?).

I assume I have to adjust the diet a fair bit  dropping most??? all??? carbs out??? with that I'll have alot less energy to lift like before, so do I lift high rep low weights for this period? or not lift at all? and just become some sort of cardio freak? :shifty:

Can ya help me with this or just let me know where I should be focussing my attention towards researching?

I think I know the basic principles of weight loss, but weight loss without losing muscle is a little different I'm led to believe.

Thanks for any help here

thats the problem mate, I don't have one. I have my current lifting routine and certain rules that I base my diet around, (ie, portion size, ratio mix of carbs, oils and proteins, water intake, ect) but nothing for this cutting phase.

I was a little gun ho and naive when I first got amped to start "body building" and researched to buggery all I thought I needed, like best excersizes, best technique and everything I referenced had loads about bulking, but either i didn't notice or there wasn't much cutting stuff there?

I guess I just need to make some time to do some hard out research like I did before and focus just on cutting. Or do I just go on a weight loss diet but with alot more resistance training to try and keep muscle mass?

How much muscle do I stand to possibly lose by focusing on weight loss, is it drastic or minimal?

why are you eating, especially carbs, so late at night?

My understand of cutting, was that you should be trying to limit your carb intake and time it so that when you are eating carbs, your using them as energy soon after (before or straight after workouts)....whats your reasoning behind this last meal?

When I'm cutting I would have a protein shake at night for my last meal.

The 2/3 cup of carbs at 930 is mainly to replenish glycogen stores after a hard workout.

8pm and 930pm meal can be switched arround if necessisary also.

Your right about the timing of the carbs though, no carbs in the morning for me as I have desk job, the remaining carbs are for fueling my workout and recovery post workout. Non-workout days have very little carbs. I hit the sack at 11 for reference.

This is a drawn out cut, you could possibly call it a recomp even, and I have a reasonably fast metabolisim so I'm weary about lossing muscle. If you were getting more agressive, then yeah you could reduce the post workout carbs.

thanks guys, I'm already finding this diet hard going after just one day. I need more food

Couldn't I just max out the cardio hard out twice a day and keep eating a decent amount of food for one person instead of sharing a ration book with an Ethiopian supermodel
