What do you take in the mornings or during the day to keep you active?

Or what do you need to keep you going?

I've never had a cigerrete or coffee in my life and think i'm all the better for it.

I always see people having to stop work to have a smoke which angers me as i don't see why they should need to do this, they always say it's addictive but get over it, there is a difference between needing and wanting.

It doesn't really worry me when people want a coffee because it's not bad for you but when people(my mum) slam the fridge and give me an earful because i had the last of the milk starts to worry me (for their health).

I get up and have breakfast but its just normal food like weetbix or porridge or something and i don't have to take anything during the day but sometimes i feel i have insufficient energy or not enough as i would like so i'm considering taking something like Berocca or something, anyone recommend anything to take that my body won't start to rely on?

Well, the first things to look at are your carbs. Are you getting a steady supply of good carbs throughout the day?

By good carbs I mean cereals, grains, potatos, etc. Flour (as in bread, pasta, pastry) is okay-ish - but it's a quicker energy burst than the others. Obviously sugars are quicker still.

So when do you feel low in energy? What does your diet look like leading up to this time?

Umm usually when i have had insufficient sleep the previous night is the biggie, well i don't usually have low energy i just see other people who have coffees and say it's for energy to keep them going so i want to try something like that but i don't want coffee lol

I don't know how many carbs i'm getting i try to eat as much as i can cause i'm trying to put on weight.
