This is probably a dumb idea (taste wise) but i was considering downing a shake with PVL Mutant Mass, Superpump 250 and Creatine monohydrate in one go pre workout.....hehe...what you guys think? I can bet the taste wouldnt be great but wouldnt that give me one hell of a pre workout boost? \:D/

prob not a good idea.

the caffeine in the superpump will most likely decrease the absorption of the creatine mono. the mutant mass (protein carb blend) will also leave you full and slow the digestion of the superpump compared to if you were to have the superpump alone (30min before a WO after eating an hour before).

plus the only stimulant in the lot is the one found in superpump.

if you want to get more "jacked" on energy have a teaspoon of coffee dissolved in a small amount of hot water and your superpump. caffeine overload! youll be bouncing off the walls

I can just imagine what colour and consistancy that drink would be

What flavour SP250 do you have? It would be like a milky SP250 I think it might upset your stomach all that going on at once?

Try it see what happens and report back!

Do you think so? I've never tried it, but after reading this article by John Berardi on the creatine and caffeine combo, I thought it was perfectly ok.

Yea its looks caffeine does have a negative effect on creatine. But at the end of the day you'd have to avoid caffeine altogether since pre workout, since creatine is optimal taken pre an post work out. Not to mention most pre work out supps have both.

creatine is now thought to be best used post workout with a fast acting sugar.

although there is good benifits from pre workout too.

Pseu check out these links:

Alot of it sugeest that if you have a regular and sustained caffeine intake (eg coffee drinker having multiple hits per day) it reduces the benifits of creatine. Rather then testing the direct caffeine+ creatine once per day pre W.O.

So all in all that still leaves us not really knowing!

if it works great, if not then the placebo effect is helping anyway!

ill still take my SP250 pre training either way

I'm fairly new to this but the I have found the best combination that works for me is to have a caffeine based supplement 30 minutes prior to hitting the gym, I've tried nano vapor with little results and have found that RAVE pills from SYN TEC do alot better and are certainly cheaper.

While working out I use an electrolyte replacer namely HORLEYS REPLACE and immediately following the workout I swallow 4 BCAA pills which are BALLANCE brand and 2 KRE-ALKALYN from NFS I then hit the showers and after that I suck back a HORLEYS CROSSFIRE PROTEIN shake made with milk.

This is my main stack, however I take 6 BCAA pills total per day (2 after my cardio session at night)and 5 Kre-alkalyn(2 in morning, 2 after workout and 1 before bed)

I don't know what gains are considered normal in bodybuilding but 12 months ago I was 126kgs before I started working out, I dropped to 118kgs in about 3 months and now I'm 133kgs (and three pants sizes smaller)

You can draw your own conclusions, but this is the combination I swear by!!

Do you take any Kre-Alkalyn before a workout?

No I don't, I prefer to let each thing do its stuff for at least 10-15 mins before using anything else.

As the RAVE pills have lots of caffeine in them I tend to leave the Kre-alkalyn till after a workout.

As my main workout is done in my lunch hour I used to find that by mid afternoon I was struggling to stay awake, when I started using the BCAA immediately after the workout I found that I had heaps of energy for the rest of the day so this is in my opinion a must have.

Also the reason I use the CROSSFIRE protein is that it contains casein protein which is a slowly digested protein and is also good for taking just before bed as it helps keep you full through the night .

The only other addition to this is a good quality multivitamin, I use Blackmores mens performance multi, it has tribulus, zinc, and magnesium and negates the need for a whole raft of other supplements.

You get an hour for lunch? Wish I did. Where can I buy some caffiene pills in bulk and what is BCAA?

  • 2 weeks later...

go to punchsupplements.co.nz.

The rave pills are around $50 for 90 pills alternatively you can buy No-doze pills from most chemists for about $8-10 for a pack of 24.

The rave pills also contain other thermogenic ingredients, whereas no-doze are straight caffeine.

BCAAs are Branch Chain Amino Acids and are the basic building blocks for muscle recovery, they are found in protein powders as well. However since I started taking them I have found that I have so much more energy to get through the afternoon, I consider these a "must have".

I think they cost around $44 from punch but if you're near "the Base" at Te Rapa they have them in the life pharmacy outlet in dressmart for $33 per container of 150.

Hope this helps

I remember when I first took creatine when it came out and only dreamed of affording some liquid creatine serum. Ahh, those were the days. Also, I was told to avoid caffeine as it kills the creatine.

Everyone seems too like SuperPump 250 (including myself) but read the ingredients? As part of the "SuperPump 250 Proprietary blend" in the "Patent Pending Anabolic Signalling Complex" one of the ingredients? Creatine Monohydrate. In the “Lipolytic/Xtreme Focus Agent” portion of the SuperPump 250? Caffeine!

I think the fact creatine tends to retain water by adding volume to cells, the caffeine is a diuretic so in that sense it may cause a negative effect, but on me it works fine. In another post, I mentioned I take my SuperPump 250 with 2 caffeine pills and a vitamin C. Seems to work ok for me, but time and time again, we say everyone is different.
