i believe natural is just that natural , no supplements just food and liquid , you cant tell me that ultra filtered ionised insantised denatured protien powder is natural . creatine is only natural when it is eaten in meat , 2.2lbs of red meat to get 5 g of creatine , fat burners deff not , the only diif between taking supps and taking the usual products that are deemed to be NOT NATURAL is that one is usually deemed legal and one isnt , really when you think about it they are all taken for one end in mind , to improve ones physique , deff not natural. What bugs me is people that say oh i did take a duretic , or i took some thyroid for a short time and they still class themselfs as natural come on . Hey if thats what ya wanna do good on ya but dont talk crap.

Would it count if i did a half assed atempt at having whey protien lasting about a week and creatine with not even carrying out the loading phase and thus not getting any benefits from it?

If so, then i guess i am "natural". If not, i too am screwed!

And just to add to hawks description of a "natural" bodybuilder. One could also take this to the extreme and say anybody that has taken a multi vitamin is not natural. Just like creatine, the body gets these vitamins from food and also like creatine people have multi-vitamins to increase there performance. By this i mean it restores vitamins into your system that you have lost via training.

Would that be a fair assumption to make?

I guess the term natural to be true to it's roots means that you eat meat, vegetables, fruit and only drink water. Basically, live like a true caveman...

Down to the nitty gritty of this thread...reads more like peeps out there are just trying to justify to themselves and others what the definition of a Natural bb is. Doesnt take a genius to work out what shit we all put into our bodies...and at the end of it all...no one really farken cares!

Its the thin grey line...and such a devisive topic. It you are on gear then my five cents is that generally people regard that as being 'non natural'. The rest is just semantics.

Now, where you want to draw the line is entirely up to you. I mean things that are legal/illegal in some countries just out and out differ in others. If I want to smuggle a bottle of alcohol into an arab state that says alcohol is a no no here, then hey...I'm going to incur the wrath of a holy jihad. Be it a bottle of Jim Beam or a diuretic, the distinction is up to you.

Someone has already argued that a condensed form of 'synthethic' protein powder could be construed as being 'non natural' and probably a reasonable arguement. In any society or collective where the rules and law are commonly established there will be a 'normal person' standard which dictates what would an average member of society conclude is 'non natural' - it just happens in this case that rightly or wrongly society and the media seem to judge that steroids constitute non- natural. Perhaps in your world they don't...perhaps they are natural. It's an arguement that neither party can win.

Sorry I obviously missed it

Why do some members have 'natural bodybuilder' and 'enhanced bodybuilder' tags in their location status. Do they add them themselves or do the mods chuck them in there?

u can add bro...just go into your profile and make the changes there...

Good question, what exactly is a natural bber? I dont beleive there is such a thing, everyone is unnatural to some degree.

Whats the difference between taking OTC products & steroids? Ones more effective and thats about it.

Im sure a lot of "natural" bodybuilders took ephedrine a few years ago, but if they took it now its illegal would that make them not natural?
