Been rubbed up the right way lately?

Just a thought on what types of massage is better or not.

Was referred for a deep tissuse massage and it was one of the most painful experiences I have had ( thought these things were supposed to be refreshing and reinvigorating)

Every nerve? and pressure point including tight muscles were kneed/elbowed and heaven knows what else!

 and then I had to pay as well haha

Yeah, my sister's training to be an osteopath, so I get practised on. The theory was great - all those free massages - but in practise it's more digging an elbow into my ischial tuberosity and other places I didn't know existed. It's amazing how little pressure is needed for an elbow to the outside of the quad to be agonizing. :o

I'm not sure I'd be staunch enough to make a regular habit of it.

LOL! Yeah they hurt like a mother. I always feel bruised and battered afterwards, but a few hours later.. feel all tingly and brand new!

You definitely have to psyche yourself up to get it done, but it is soo sooo worth it

I get deep tissue on weekly basis (my rest day)....yeah there is a signicant difference between deep tissue, relaxation and sports massage. With deep tissue is takes a while or it not to hurt quite as much when you start and then I go on a maintainance cycle just to prevent knots etc forming quite as bad again. pleasure/pain= all good :D
