I have taken it upon myself in the name of democracy to create a poll asking members to decide if we should have a "Natural" section, perhaps sitting alongside the Steroids and Prohormones forum at the bottom.

Feel free to vote and comment

Note: The outcome/result of this poll in no way determines if one will be added

I voted no, I have read the other topic and ideas, however I feel that most of the forum is catered for everyone including natural bodybuilders and there is only a tiny part relating to steroids. Typically diet and excercise will not differ to that of any bodybuilder including women so I don't think its necessary to plop another section on the forum willy nilly I mean John :pfft:

Voted yes..hell why not...could be useful for natural BBs to bounce ides off each other but also agree with BG that the site already contains a huge content of really good info on every aspect of the sport

:-s I voted don't care as I'm ambivalent? and getting positive feed back from all sections of the forum!

So far I'm staying natural ( does natural only mean non steriod? or non supplements full stop?) as mainly cause just getting into it, have no real bias either way at this stage.

Interestingly my one vote gave 7% wow feel so important

Agree, the rest of the topics relate nicely to everyone. But it took me a long time to realize how prevalent drugs and the likes are in this sport and speaking for myself I know I had false expectations...... too many years of action movies and bodybuilding magazines.

There are people who will benefit greatly from a central repository of information relating to "natural" athletes and competitors, those borderline body dismorphic individuals who can't understand why they struggle to make gains of 2-3kg of quality muscle a year and not 5kg in 8 weeks like some.

Not everyone can read between the lines in the other topics to get a realistic opinion of how it applies to them, some can't even read full stop

i vote no johnboy

my view is that the training and diet is the same maybe a few other factors like recovery time and ability to train more intense might factor in to a enhanced bodybuilder

ive taken advice from the past from so called natural athletes only to realise they werent so natural

so how will you know you are getting advice from a truley natural bodybuilder in the natural section.

I voted yes(Born again natural Body Builder...yeah right)..only because maybe this will open a new perspective for the experienced nattys to throw some fresh ideas around on here that they feel they cant express on other forums in here.....dont take this as a sign of playing favourites or anything...Im just open to new input and new ideas that will either get scorned and laughed at on NZBB or actually be taken in as some reasonable advice.

voted no, bodybuilding is bodybuilding, dosnt matter if your natural or not same principles apply .

dead right

in training, diet and principals yes, but not on stage and certainly not in results.

(if any of the federations had a drug testing policy perhaps it might, even WNBF has a policy of 7 years drug free which is still a joke in my book)

very true, all comments are taken with a grain of salt and one would just expect a level of honesty.

I guess I don't care either way, just thought others might value from it as I would have 5-10 years ago. I know my body well enough now to know I have to put in alot for not too much in return and I accept that, any progress is good progress in my books.

Those that post on the Steroid section are pretty honest about there cycles and usage and we only run the risk of those in denial claiming they are natural "now" because they have taken some time off gear.

I'm proud to be natural, but I also see why others make the decision to take the next step - and the reality is it is the next step. Competing for me is a fruitless exercise but training and self satisfaction (and vanity) are not, I will never trade my balls for biceps as its possible to have a little of both :pfft:

NEVER

anyone worth listening to who has taken gear has trained naturally for some period of time be it 3 years or 15 so we all know how to add mass without AAS, just because you have or do take gear doesnt mean your information isnt valid to a non user.

No body is saying that, I value any feedback from seasoned competitors. My position is that the majority of those who choose to get assistance will often benefit to a greater degree than those who remain natural, and that is demotivating and deconstructive for people who don't realize that and can often turn people away from the gym and from the sport.

As another "nattie" bodybuilder (so far) I completely understand where you're coming from, John. There are times I feel like I'm the only person who isn't using gear! But the reality is that steroid-users ARE still the minority. We did a poll on it the year before last, and from memory something like 40% used steroids - and that was a poll conducted in the Steroid forum, so would have been hugely skewed in their favour anyway.

As I said in the other topic, the last thing I want to do is create the impression that natural bodybuilders are an endangered species. So I voted against a dedicated "natural" section.

I voted no...I don't have any intention of going on the juice (I watched Bigger, Stronger, Faster last night and got the message from her indoors) I respect the decision of those who make the call and that it is a personal one. I think that when competing again, as long as I can be the best I can be..thats fine by me. I don't think we want to turn this into a debate between two separate ideologies. There is tons of info on here for natural athletes.
