Eating at work

Hey dudes.

I only get a half hour lunch and a few 10 min breaks at work so I'm not able to eat every 2 hours.

I get that 'holy f*ck I could eat at horse right now' even a short while after eating lunch etc.

I get worried also as I feel like I'm not eating as much as I should because I'm restricted while at work.

How do I conquer this unholy situation? if it were up to me i'd be eating while working but thats not realistic.

prep your meals the night before.. 10min break = get it down you.

get yourself a large coffee mug .. have shakes in that.. or just use the shaker.

Buy the tear top cans of Tuna/Salmon/Chop Chop etc, and if you can afford even the Uncle Bens rice.

For a quick feed I chuck the rice in the microwave for 2mins, while that is cooking open the tuna (I like the smoked flavour) and empty in a bowl, by now the rice is done so empty half into the bowl and mix together.

Gives you around 5 minutes to down it, and you can reheat the other half of the packet for afternoon tea with another can.

Great when time is a factor, good protein content and tastes great.

Why are you restricted at work? Need moar info.

Some initial thoughts. Buy a thermos. Package your food on the weekend. Prepare in advance etc.

If it's a work won't let you thing, tell your work you have to eat every 2-3 hours for medical reasons. If they query it, find a GP who'll give you a piece of paper. If they ask for a second opinion or choose the GP for you etc, well, you're on your own... :pfft:

But nothing is impossible.

I just have a basic factory job, on the production line.

When I say restricted, I mean I cant have a break when I want to, i.e the breaks are all set out, routine, regimented.

I swear my half hour feels like 10 mins, it whizzzes by.

I just get nervous that I'm not eating as often as I could when I'm at work if you see what I mean.

I guess thats just tough titty really isnt it LOL.

yeah i like the protein bar pants ideas. cant u just say you need to pee and skull a shake back?

Thats a good idea actually......I actually drink heaps of water when I'm working as thats ok, so I often need a pee. Why didnt I think of that before? A shake sould do it, I dont fancy eating any food in those unholy toilets.

From what you said in your initial post it should be to much of an issue (unless I read it wrong). 3 x 10 minute breaks and a 30 minute break will be fine, up your meal size slightly and eat every 3 hours (as long as you prep your meals).

Good luck making time to eat is always an issue at work.
