Hi all,

I just found this site through a random search after researching some stuff on the net. It seems like a fantastic site and have found a lot of good info from only being on here for an hour or so!

My background:

I am 24 and work all day at a desk and have been going to the gym for around 1.5 years. I have never taken it too seriously or ever had a major goal but i do have a natural ability to gain muscle fairly quick. I eat whatever i want when i want, but i don't touch fast foods (mcD's, burger king, KFC etc) or energy drinks and don't use any supplements at current. The main reason for going to the gym is that i will waste away sitting at a desk if i don't do anything!

I am currently 100kg (give or take) and train on average 4-5 days a week training a different muscle group each session. My body fat percentage is around 18% so it is a bit high and would like to get this down around the 10% mark. Which is around 8kgs of fat loss at my current weight. I have also just started running and swimming for cardio.

Well i'm sure this fantastic site will help me in my new goals to build more and loose some body fat.

haha i do get it. Before i registered i had seen somebody on here called Optimass and since i too like transformers (and Megan Fox) my last name is Hyde and i "pump iron" then IronHyde would be an appropriate choice. Anyway...

Yeah swimming is great, it's only the first week but allready it has loosend up the muscles around the deltoid/pectoral area. Plus it's probably good for blood circulation.

Welcome aboard! The sitting behind the desk thing is pretty hard, but as you say there are lots of experienced people here and you will get some great advice. Since you are wanting to loose around 8 kilos you may also want to put up a typical days food intake, or look in the diet section also.
