Chop Chop Chicken

Do any of you guys eat this stuff?

One of my flat mates got some and I tried out the springwater flavour. I thought I'd tasted pretty good.

How does this compare on nutrition and price to cooked chicken pieces/breasts (bought raw and cooked by you) and also canned tuna.

Ask BigKiwi, with his 15 or so cans a day he probably has a high opinion of it.

Chances are if he cut himself that horrible white slime would probably ooze out, if it didn't look so damn bad I would probably eat it too.

*looking for the puke emoticon*

I eat a couple a day of the wholegrain mustard ones, I`m not a fan of tuna and find it easier having a can than buying a chook and preparing it, good for in between meals during the day. Dinner is a different story however.

At $3.89 at Pak'n'Save Albany it aint worth buying

I found them for $2.58 at a Pak'n'Save in Wellington. I bought 20 of them. Like others have said, they're not as good as the fresh stuff, but they're damn handy when I'm not organised/run out of food. I only eat the mustard one now.

i had just finished a work out with bigkiwi and was wearing my convict hoody and went to pak n save to buy some chop chop and the guy who owns the company was there stocking the shelves, i asked him if i could please have a handfull of this and that and then he turned around and asked me if he could have a picture of me holding heaps of chop chop and i was like but im not the guy who eats it all day i only eat 3max aday haha.

as i chef i would like to have mostly fresh chicken but the tin stuff is good for traveling and on the run styles.

Isnt this stuff made in Thailand?

Id rather stick to my free range chicken...at least I know where its from!

yes, yes and oh yes

What`s wrong with the Thailand chicken? I bet it had just as happy a life as the ones here before finding out it was going to be killed and stuffed in a can. :D

I've eaten it from time to time but..but pricey for cat tucker :pfft:

Reminds me of the story about the mexican truck drivers who eat heaps of chickens, cheap i guess, but they started growing tits from the hormones in the chooks :pfft:
