Protein question, buying from Eat Me.

Right so I am going to buy some protein from Eat me, I am a newb with this stuff and not sure which is best for me.

I am thinking the 100% isolate? Is that better for weight loss than the Protein?

Which flavour is best, I will be adding it to my oats and having one using the blender with ice/berries.

And lastly, when is the best time to have a protein shake? After a workout??

Thanks \:D/

eat me send out free samples if you go on the site and request some, so you can try before you buy. i'm just about finished mine, in total i got 6 indivdual serves.

yes, whey straight after a workout with around 60g of fast acting carbs.

for weight loss it doesnt make a difference (in real life)

for flavour ditto

a significant (if not the main difference) between the two as I understand is the difference between the speed the protein is absorbed into the blood

The Isolate is faster absorbed so is best for after body workout when you need the protein most

The Concentrate is slower absorbed and so is suitable for any time of day (its still O.K after workout - just not quite as good as Isolate)

I personally have the Isolate with fast carbs after workout and a blend during the day such as for breakfast.

Also athough Eat me only offers each type seperatly (as far as im aware)

some manufacturers offer blends of both so you get the best of both worlds

often they include soy protein and casien protein too which are slower released than even concentrated whey.

see - On Whey

or Balance 100% whey - which is pretty much the best seller

If you really want to lose the weight and have the budget why dont you consider a protein powder with fat burners mixed in too?

see horleys ripped factors

or balance ultra ripped

cheers

Go with balance. Horleys doesnt mix that well and the taste is crap...

Buy one Eat Me Isolate and two Eat Me 100% Whey and mix them all together. That is the best value for money, and best tasting protein out there IMO. Well it is when you buy online. It costs a fortune to buy Eat Me at the shop.

I know I've recomended bodypro nutrition before, but just in case anyone's interested they sell 4kg bags of Red8 protein for $145 all flavours all the time. Free delivery and I think you might even get a discount if you buy two bags :)

I bought 1kg of Red8 Vanilla to trial last month, the taste takes a bit of getting used to but it's not too bad for something sweetend with stevia. I have Eatme vanilla now, and I have to say after Red8's rather unique vanilla flavour I'm finding I can barely even taste the vanilla in the Eatme! If only Reactiv's flavoured whey was cheaper, sigh... :(

Yeah I hate that too. US protein powder is packed into giant half empty plastic containers and shipped here all the way from the other side of the world … and it is still cheaper than Balance and Horleys which are made here.

Eat Me is like a breath of fresh air at last. Good value for money and made here.

:D

That's a really good deal for Red8 protein, I see you're right about the discount for 2 bags, ends up being $135 for each 4kg!
