my teeth

i have been having some major tooth pain which started a couple of weeks ago.

my dentist has booked me in for a root canal - ye har

while the major problem has probably started with a large filling done some time ago i have also got a lot of new fillings in the last year........

i have also been eating like a mofo for the last year and its the chewing on the bad tooth that was the 'final nail in the coffin'

anyway my reason for posting is that there is a lot of talk on the forums about how to achieve goals.....mine is becoming bloody hard to do at the moment cos of sore teeth

with all the eating all the time i am going to pay a lot more attention to keeping them clean......more than just morning and night, and hopefully not gain more holes over the next year

Toothaches are definitely are NOT fun. And root canals are so friggen expensive :shock:

The last time I had a toothache, Neurofen helped ease the throbbing pain :nod:

Actually yeah a lot of people neglect their teeth. But you only get one set!

I've had 2 root canals, and the pain is not fun - especially the first one when the dentist gave me as much anasthetic as he could, but it just wouldn't reach the part of the tooth where he was working - result, excruciating pain, and he could only work on me for about 30 seconds at a time then had to go take a break til I was ok again, then do some more of his evil work.

Second one, didn't feel a thing, anasthetic worked. It was more the pain leading up to the actual work that was horrible.

Wassup Roadie,

I have the same problem, as of last Friday, I had the option of either getting a Root Canal or Pulling out the tooth (Top Row, Left Side - Third from the back).

Tooth Pull: $200

Root Canal: $1000

So I decided to have it pulled. Was painful for the next few days but its getting better now.

Totally up to you, but the Dentist did comment on how some Root Canals don't work, and peeps eventually get them pulled out anyways.

If you sum up the cost, thats $1200. Alot of coin Bro!!!!!

But if you have the coin and want to keep your teeth, No Worries aye?

My friend got one of his wisdom teeth pulled out at Middlemore hospital for $40 IIRC. First in, first served though.
