Worst thing about taking a break for 10 years was the drinking, smoking and parties :pfft:

I'm 1.95m tall, 118kg, 40 and just getting back into it. I have a beer gut and know the right foods to eat but don't know the right quantities.

At the moment Im eating...

Am1 10 egg whites 1 cooked cup of oatmeal, 1 cup skim milk

Am2 1X 180gr tin of lite tuna and 1/2 tin of crush pineapple

Lunch 1X 180gr tin lite tuna and the pineapple again

Pm 1 2 chicken thighs + protien shake(whey 30gr serve))

After workout - 1 protien shake

Dinner Steak 300gr + small bowl mixed veg.

I want to lose the gut, and add muscle. Im doing 20 min cardio and the 30 mins weights to failure.

Help.......

Too hard too soon if you want my opinion. I am like you (although a bit older ) 182 height and 106 K with all of your indulgences, but looking at what you are proposing below is in my humble opinion carb depleted, which will ultimately mean that you add in a little and then something else and then it all turns to custard. I would be adding in some more carbs at this early stage to make sure that your body just doesn't go in to hyper shock!

Others may think that this is wimping out, but this is a marathon not a sprint, so for my five cents whack in some baked potatoes and some rice or pasta in small amounts so that your body doesnt go into carb craving madness. Good luck with the plan!

Its a weird thing but I think that in some ways age is an ally as we're running out of it, so we get a bit precious about the opportunity we have left to sculpt the darn thing into something that resembles the image we have in or heads of our ripped and shredded 22 year old bodies!...(NOT)
