Did anyone else watch the MJ memorial service on TV?

I thought it was really good.. was weird that ABC had that Michael Bashir (?) guy commentating on it, considering Jackson hated him after that doco was released :?

Yeah I saw it and thought it was pretty good. Agree with the commentator issue though, I thought they were terrible.

Gone, but never forgotten. It has been exactly one year since the King of Pop passed away at the age of 50, and fans around the world decided to honor his memory by holding candlelight vigils, music, and dancing.

At New York’s Apollo Theater in Harlem, the superstar’s signature sequined glove and black hat were placed beside his plaque, a letter from his mother was read aloud, and fans performed some of the singer’s famous dance moves.

"Michael loved The Apollo Theater very much," Katherine Jackson said in her letter.

About 200 people gathered outside of Jackson’s childhood home in Gary, Indiana, where he and his brothers got their start as members of the Jackson 5. The pop star’s mother was expected to appear there later in the day, where a monument to her son was to be unveiled.

"I still can't believe Michael Jackson is dead," said Gary resident Juanita Woods, who lives near the home and often walks by it.

Fans also appeared in droves around the singer’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and at his burial site in Los Angeles’s Forest Lawn cemetery.

Jackson died of cardiac arrest last year at his rented mansion in Los Angeles.

Cant believe that was already 12 months ago. Definately this generations Elvis.
