Training in Thailand/Pattaya

Can't give you names of any gyms in Pattaya, but I think you will find that GNC shops are starting to make a good impact in Thailand. You should be able to get all your supps from one of the stores.

If you struggle to find any in Pattaya theres a pretty good store in the NBK centre in Bangkok. Give me a yell if you need directions

You mean the giant 8 level MBK Centre also known as Mah boon krong.

Great food court on level 5 - seats 5000. Catch the BTS Skytrain to National Stadium on the Silom Line.

You can buy ProFlex whey protein powder at MBK. Watch out for the chocolate and vanilla - each contain around 6% castor sugar. The Thais like it sweet!

Both Tony's and Universe Gym are both good gyms in Pattaya. They are "hardcore" as opposed to leisure centre type facilities. Protein supplements are hard to come by

judging by your pic looks like you had no problem getting your "protien" there :pfft:

People from all around fly to Thailand JUST to train. I hope you got some good sessions in there!

How cheap is the GH?! Heard its less than protein powder week to week.

I got no idea how cheap GH is, but I read on a website that its very hard to come by there....

Yeah..thinking of taking my own protein powder over there with me, hope Thai customs arent strict there on bringing your own supplements in????

No need to pay for an expensive jet trip to clear your permit Specter, take the road trip to Nam and back. You might hear the border crossing via Northern Malaysia is cheaper and includes a nice train trip down the Thai coast - but that part of the world carries a higher degree of personal risk.

I'm a bodybuilder (ex-NZ) who's been living in Pattaya for over 3 years, so I know exactly what I'm talking about.

There's only a very small GNC outlet in Pattaya and you'll be paying ungodly prices for anything there. No one in their right mind would shop there.

Vitamin supplements are very expensive, so if possible it would be best to bring them with you. The main brands are Blackmores and a Thai company with copies of most of Blackmore's formulas for the same price. Although I haven't lived in NZ for a long time, I'm sure you'll pay more for Blackmores in Pattaya than back in NZ because they are all imported. You will be absolutely shocked at the prices (840 baht for 150 x 1000 mg Vitamin C). There are no low cost, budget vitamin labels available, period.

Protein:

Off the shelf whey protein prices are ridiculous. You'll be lucky to pick up 900 grams of whey concentrate for under 2000 baht. You'll find Musashi at even higher prices. If you use a lot of whey protein, you'll go broke at retails prices.

I buy whey protein (WPC) in bulk (an American brand). I buy 20 - 40kg at a time in order to get it at a reasonable price and then sell of the surplus at a very good price. I use about 1kg a week myself, so cannot afford retail prices. This is the only way I can afford to use that much whey myself without going broke.

If anyone needs WPC while in Pattaya, PM me. I've usually got some spare.

I can get HGH at a good price, relatively speaking. I order it from China. The stuff they sell in pharmacies around Pattaya is very expensive if you can find it.

I usually have some spare because I buy it in bulk in order to get a good price, so anyone needing some PM me.

Does anyone know the regulations about bringing HGH back into NZ? We're allowed to bring HGH into Australia for personal use in limited amounts with doctor's prescription, so what's the deal in NZ?

You shouldn't have any trouble brining in vitamin supplements and protein.
