I was just reading some of your posts about massage.

As a massage therapist, it really shouldn't hurt and you definitely shouldn't be pain. For DTM, it should be a good "pressure", something that you can feel but not be wriggling or squirming.

You should always be asked to complete a Client History sheet which would cover: injuries, training, areas you want treated (or not treated), establishing what your idea of "good pressure" is, and any other relevant information prior to the therapist even putting there hands on you. Pricing can range from $50 - $90 p/hr.

As for whether male or female is best? Provided they have been taught properly, you should be able to get the same result regardless of gender. :)
