Whole Grain Products and 100% Natural PB

Hey, I've just started to get into BB here in Auckland but I can't seem to find any whole grain products like breads, bagels, tortillas, etc.... (NOT wholemeal) or any 100% Natural PB.

Where does everybody here find these things, or do you have to order online? If so, where's a good place to get them?

I'm not sure where you can buy the whole grain products in AKL but one of the local health shops should be able to point you in the right direction.

As for the 100% natural PB, my local Pak and Save stocks the Ceres Organic nut butters, including the delicious PB. The health shop has it as well but it's twice the price.

Thanks for the website. Unfortunately, looking at the ingredients, although they have grains they don't have whole wheat flour, all of them have wheat flour. I'll give them a ring though to see if they know any ppl, thanks.

I'll definitely check out that PB brand, I haven't seen that at my Pak N' Save, I guess I'll have to look harder

Kaiora has natural nut butters at about $9(!) a jar. Seen them at er.. New World I think.

Wholewheat bread seems hard (or matbe it just costs too much) to get hold of in NZ... go for rye. I think it's just as good ie. real low GI and high fibre & nutrients

I'm not sure exactly what you're after... My mother occasionally gets something called Essene Bread. Apparently "Essene bread is really simple. It is just mashed up sprouts of grain, rye or wheat, which means that the only ingredient added is water. Nothing else." It sounds terribly good for you... :shock:

Is that the sort of thing you're looking for?
