my motivation is the sept comps this year

want to be maybe 10kgs heavier on stage than last time

i have found without any specific goal i was plodding along

as soon as i gave myself a target my eating habits changed and my training intensified.

seeing other peoples pics on here is great motivation too

Think about about what you want. For me I think about that when I get a good body all the guys will be envy and girls will like me. Think the positive result that you will be getting when you achieve your goal. Make sure you have the image of yourself in the future

What motivates me? Lotsa things

I am never going back to what I used to be - so I keep training

I want to be faster and stronger and leaner - so I keep training

I know I've not reached my full potential yet - so I keep training

I like the difference from my work - like GMM, it's 'my time' and

I like learning all the different aspects - technique, nutrition. It's not easy!

Well you need to know what it is your trying to achieve. Jst going to the gym or eating clean etc without a clear purpose is pointless and eventually you will give up. So figure out what it is your trying to achieve, be it get bigger, stronger, lean, fit, bench 100kg what ever. But you need a purpose and goal for the time, effort and money involved. Once you have that get a pen, write it down. Then figure out how you are going to achieve that, give your self a time frame and once time has passed evaluate your progress and change your actions accordingly. Anyway thats what i do. U need to figure out for yourself what you want to achieve and no one here can tell you that, there are plently of smart cookies who can help you get where you wont though.

P.S

I dream of having legs like bobsta and im not sure i would even wear pants if i possesd wheels like that. Damn near blockin the sun.

Your so right! This is why I'm loving this site! I keep thinking I've got it all susses (f**king narcissist that I am) and then realise that I'm forgetting the blindingly obvious. I have a target for everything in my life these days but I forgot to create a solid target for my training. Thanks.

So right now I think I'm gonna TARGET a Steve Austin physique. Maybe not as clean and cut a body as some of your guys picture, but it's what I'm after. I'm gonna print off a good pic from google images and stick it in the garage.

thanks again.

you mean stone cold steve austin or 6 million dollar man steve austin ?

If I can get a bionic arm from weight training than I'll be happy. Wonder what I can do with one good arm??? :pfft:

But seriously, for now I'm gonna aim for an achievable goal and then re asses that once I'm close to achieving it. I'm currently about 220lbs and 5'11" so once I swing this ratio around between muscle mass and body fat I'll be quite close already.

maybe then start looking at old randy savage pics

I like that one.

Competition - I won't let my training partner get away on me.

And I'm in for the long game, to get fitter, faster and stronger each year.
