Well here it is... Reading the Herald on Sunday I was intrigued at an alleged 'contributing factor' to Jan Molenaar's decision to shoot up the local police... steroids! Yep, he was allegedly taking steroids because he was a bodybuilder and loved the gym. Funny thing seeing his picture next to the write-up, he looked like shit. Great that whenever a massacre happens there has to be a scapegoat, in this instance steroids take the rap. Remember a few years ago when the kids shot up Columbine? Remember the scapegoat? Marilyn Manson was to blame, because.. (they listened to his music). As Chris Rock said, whatever happened to crazy? Can a person not be responsible anymore because of taking steroids or listening to heavy music? Not when there can be something or someone to blame. Pure and simple the guy had issues and snapped. His brother committed suicide and the final straw was probably police storming his property on a drug bust (it was already confirmed this guy hated police).

Yeah pretty close to home here, my training partner lived next door & had to make a break for it with his 10 month old. http://www.hbtoday.co.nz/localnews/stor ... ubsection=

Pretty f*cked up situation.

I made a prediction a few days back that the AAS thing would get thrown in the mix, as soon as I saw "flipped out" & "bodybuilding" in the same article...... sure enough it didn't take long. Keats - I don't knoe JM but he was a big unit, theres no questioning that. Whether he used AAS I have no idea. But at the end of the day whats fact is he made some very bad choices that impacted heavily on those in the wider HB area. A tragedy for all involved.

I was making a broad remark as the photo in the Herald on Sunday made him look fat if anything. Those who knew or saw him locally may have seen him looking more muscular than what the paper showed
