Some of the guys I train have just come off a high rep phase back onto heavy and one guy did:

20 rep w/up with 1pps

10 rep with 2pps

10 rep with 3pps

10 rep with 4pps

These were free squat in a power rack with the safety set on level 4 which is below parr for a 6 foot guy. Down to the bar with each rep.

Dudes got some strong legs...

so have i meany times, but is it safe on ya own with 150kg plus?

usi9ng the smith for failer is safer and u dont hold back, that all

both have there place!!!

Use a power rack (or cage as many call it) dude, you can free squat and set the safety bar so that you can acheive failure but still work the core, stability and proprioceptor..

You hit failure at the bottom on a smith machine then you're going to have problems racking the bar..

hay Pimp!

yep my squat rack has safty bars too!

but i cannt use them,i hit my arms on them every time !!!

The smith rack has ajustable hight stoppers too! so ya can go too positive failer(failing on the way up is taking even firther!!!!)i find ppl how blowout at the bottom have just givin up.not musclur failer but mentel failer!

dont no if you guys have tryed pre_exhaustion before getting into the squats?

there fore big weights dont brake ya back!!!ya

ya quads get blowen out first! (the biggist muscle group in the movement)

therefore your back is no longer the week-link!!and your hamstrings get hit hard too!

remember muscles cannot count the weights(all they know is load!)

Uh, HD, if you fail on the way up then dont you have to come back down??

hay grinder,:yep ya right(what gos up must come down)

what i mean is:pimp said he fails at the bottom(i think?)i mean if ya fail at the bottom ya didnt(or may not of tryed to do the positive part of the movement ,(going up).and once ya have then(then you go down again)

hope ive said it right( if ive set the stoppers at the right hight then i can clumb out from under it,U know what i mean?
