Deltoid seperation

Recommended Posts

A lot of guys i see have amazing seperation with their delts (mainly lateral and anterior) from the rest of their arms. Mine simply blend straight into my biceps and tris without any separation. They're there and my bf is minimal but they just "melt" in without that nice long lateral delt sitting on top.

It would seem that I have width and roundness, but no length maybe?

Any tips?

Concentrate on working the lateral head for shoulder width & posterior head for shoulder symmetry. The anterior head gets lots of work in chest, back arms (although it shouldnt for arms :D ) Chose exercises that clearly hit the three separate heads to get separation & definition. The big compound military presses are not so good for this as DB work IMO.

i like starting with heavy d/b presses then hitting the laterial head with 2-3 exercises to really nail them, i put most of shoulder day work on this part, also don't negelect the posterior head, i use a triple set on these and i can really feel em afterwards. posterior d/b raises followed by reverse pec deck and finshed with rear delt machine, nice! if i dont work the shoulders at least one day a week like this i find the shoulders blend into the arms just like you mentioned within a month or so.
