Hello everyone, my name is Rick and i live in a lovely small city Napier located in Hawkes Bay. Well i class myself as a hardgainer, been tall and skinny with a very fast metabolisim i found it very difficult to put any size on. After years of wishing and dreaming about being a resonable size i took some actions, I joined a gym and slowly now beginning to turn my goals into reality. So i ask with the help of my fellow peers to provide me with direction and advice to acheive my goals.

cheers Rick.

welcome sounds like you're heading in the right direction already.

If you ever stop gaining give the weekdays on/ weekends off the flick and switch to having a rest day at least every 3 days. I'm a hard-gainer with skinny wrists and high metabolism as well and I used to do weekdays on/weekends off routine. Works ok but when u plateau consider chaNGING IT UP.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the general way of thinking is as long as you're doing just one bodypart per week then 5 in a row is ok. That's what I thought anyway. But you might slow your possible gains since it's more than muscles that need a rest.

Your CNS takes a thrashing

And not to mention your re-carb. It's bloody hard to eat enough for the next workout if you're also trying to eat enough for the previous one...5 days in a row.

Anyway welcome dude,

This 'Napier' town u speak of ....

Hey thanks for that android,

what would you suggest then to step it up, always looking to push the limits, and to try to mix it up.

cheers .

you could do something like:

Monday - chest, tri`s, (abs)

Tuesday - bi`s, back

Wednesday - rest

Thursday - shoulders, abs

Friday - legs, abs

Sat - rest

Sunday - rest

I think you should be able to exercise abs twice a week at least. many people have success exwercising them everyday, but as you only have 50 minutes, you might not have time. however, you should be able to do a basic ab workout at home if you find that this works for you.

Also, if you find that you can't get enough carbs, you could look at a mass gainer protein, but i would try to leave that till you plateau. however, if you can't get enough calories, then that is one option. Are you using creatine monohydrate?
