NZFBB AGM-who for president?

Recommended Posts

What would happen if they lied their way in? Saying they will do something and then not doing it, it's quite easy to make yourself look good on paper.

True, but I'm sure a lot of people do that on their CV's ... and you only have to look at most political party promises pre-election to see that a lot of what they "promise" is not delivered!

So obviously there is going to be high chance of that happening here? Hell even I could say there will be this and that then just not do it. It's one thing to say something it's another thing to do it.

WTF??

What are you - the master of the 'bleedin'-fucking-obvious'?

Of course people lie about what they are going to do in order to gain other people's support.

Do you think none of us know that?

Your posts are pathetic, why are you even here?

Excuse my ignorance if this is a stupid question  but would it be an idea to post some sort of poll here on nzbb as to who the members of these forums would vote for?

That's a very good idea, Nick! The AGM election process starts with all members being notified via mail of the date & location for the AGM (date and location is decided on by the current Exec), and nomination forms plus AGM motion forms are included for anyone who wants to nominate a member for a particular position and/or have a motion raised at the AGM. There will be a deadline for these papers to be filed, then once the nominations and motions have been collated the members will again be notified via mail of the candidates and motions, and be given a voting paper (for Executive positions). These voting papers must be received 7-8 days prior to the meeting and will be counted at the AGM along with any submitted by members who attend the meeting.

A likely scenario is that once the nominations have been received, I can post the candidates names on this site and the NZFBB site. We can also seek to get a brief resume from each candidate to also post on the websites which will enable everyone to see what their background is and what they propose to bring to the position should they be successful.

Once the candidates have been decided and posted, then a poll can indeed be posted here - but it makes sense to wait until then to know who has been nominated.
