UPDATE!

All free venues in the CBD area (that I knew of/google searching/word of mouth) have been booked already.

There are a number of other venues that are available, but they come at a price - either a minimum bar tab or a booking fee. Coco Bar on Fort Street ( :shifty: ) have offered me the cheapest deal - a discounted ( :roll: ) booking price of $200. I'm uncomfortable with charging some sort of entry fee to come.. and I dunno about anyone else, but I'd rather spend my hard earned dosh on food and alcohol lol.

Brooklyn Bar that was mentioned in another thread, is actually unavailable. The bigger part of the bar that was previously free, I booked.. but unfortunately the Venue Manager wasn't too keen on holding onto it for me for my estimated 20-30 people (and even THAT was a pretty generous estimate :pfft: )

So! Should we just organise for a bar or whatever to meet at? No booking or anything. If you turn up, you turn up. That way we won't have to worry about numbers or money or other silly things that give headaches.
