I decided to split my Quads and Hams over two days, upping each exercise by 1 set. Today I can hardly walk!

Waking up at 3am to do the obligatory pee this morning I nearly fell on the on the seat as bending the legs certainly woke me up.

Quads, glutes and hams are saying 'whot da f*&k!'.

Highly recommended! :pfft:

Trust me, I'm no stranger to DOMS. I was humming along with my normal leg routine , I.e. next day, hardly sore at all, that's why I decided to mix it up. It just show how the body adapts.

As for the peeing. I've been getting up in the early hours for years. And it's multiple times when I'm on a Creatine cycle.

If you're trying to imply (in the most subtle way) that I'm an old fart then...well...you're probably right...

Do you ever eat anything when you get up through the night?

If you have to answer the call of nature, get some protein down ya on the way back to bed. Maybe mix up a shake earlier in the night and leave in the fridge, or perhaps a couple scoops of cottage cheese (if you can handle the taste).

This should also help with the recovery if you're sleep is getting broken by your need to pee.

However, it depends on whether you're coherent enough at 3am to remember to visit the fridge.
