Hi guys,

just clearing up some confusion.

Ive got meself Aussie Bodies Flaxseed oil as an EFA.

it says 15ml per rounded tablespoon as qty for each serving.

how many gms of fat is that ?

how do I convert mls to gms ?

Also, does any one know where I can get Udo, or any other similair brand of EFA mix locally that is well balanced in ratio of omega 3, 6 and 9 ?

thanks,

V.V.

Does it not say on the bottle how many grams of fat are in each serving, thats pretty poor if it doesnt.

Other than that if its pure fat then i guess what it weighs it how many grams of fat it would have, if you have some descent scales then you could just weigh it.

Bizzare it not written on the bottle

Dude, there are 129 calories per serve, with no protein or carbs. Divide by nine, and you get the total grams of fat.

Remember, there are 9 calories per gram of fat.

Well there you go then mate, i was under the impression there was no nutritional information whatsoever on the bottle.

I think "rounded tablespoon" is the type of tablespoon I take my efa's in caps. Much easier and cleaner

I find the liquid in a bottle to be much cheaper and more cost effective in the long run. Id rather take caps but its hard to justify with the cost / volume of oil in a bottle.

thanks waldo.

that clears it up.

yes the rounded tablespoon takes a bit of control and practice, the first attempt 'rounded' up all over the kitchen counter, but i think ive mastered it now.

Its much cheaper to buy a bottle than tablets.

Roughly 14g of fat per serving.

33 servings per bottle.

cost 20$.

In having said that, its not in the perfect ratio of omega 3, 6 and 9, thus Im still on a quest for a cheap well matched alternative.

isnt mls the liquid weight and grams the dry weight? so 15mls would be roughly equivalent to 15 grams. i think water converts roughly that way. so roughly one tablespoon in your protein shake goes down well.

the one i use from essential body nutrition has that on the container - thats $20 for 500ml from the store i get it.. does anyone know of a cheaper one?
