Protein bars

Ok guys, what's your opinions on the various protein bars out there?

Once in a while I know, for me it's only when I'm hard pressed to get something to eat after 3-4 hours after my last meal.

They sure put in a heck of a lot of stuff into them.. is that a bad thing?

Eg. the EAS advantedge bars, I've read mixed things about glycerine.. good carb or bad?

Tried cookies & cream flavour, dunno why everyone's so hooked up about them.. they taste meh.

Now chocolate cream pie. That's a great tasting and smooth lingering bar. Tastes like firm, moist puddingcake! Yum!

Ive only really tried one protein bar, the musashi p40s, they used to taste really bad and almost be uneatable, i think they change the formula a bit and now they are a bit more bearable, not sure on the quality of the protein used, i suspect its just middle of the range stuff, good if your in need of a quick protein fix i guess.

i GO FOR THE P40 WHEN GAINING AND THEN TO TH NUTRALIFE WHEN CUTTING.

DIFFERENT LEVELS OF CALS AND PROTEIN.

DEFINATELY GO FOR TH NUTRALIFE FOR FLAVOUR THOUGH. i AM TRYING TO GO FOR A CUT PHASE WITHOUT USING ANY BARS AS THE POTEIN QUALITY CAN B LOW AND LOTS OF SUGARS.

The advantedge carb control bars have only 1g sugar. Makes it ideal as a meal replacement I suppose as it wouldn't trigger blood glucose crashes. I guess I won't be trying musashi anytime soon if you guys think it tastes like that...

trust me, the choc cream pie bar tastes better than any cadbury bar anyday!

Most bars don't have enough protein to satisfy me. I'd need two of most bars. And that makes them too expensive for anything other than special occasions!

As for the ingredients, I really don't know, but I'm sure you won't have problems if you're only using them in emergencies. :)

Price per gm of protien ratio is not very good so I stay away from them except in cases of emergency otherwise my hard earned supplement dollar does not go far enough.

I know you can get some cheap undersized ones here in auckland from the factory in penrose, they offer a better deal
