Counting CARBS

Hey guys,

Im starting my cut diet and whats the most effecient practical way of counting my carbs. I generally manage to count my protein and fat pretty accurately but have trouble with carbs because:

Lot of foods dont have listings for carb values.

Therefore carb value counter needed.

Second, do you guys measure stuff like pasta, rice etc with a weighing scale to find out how much ?

Or on the other hand , I know how much I eat when on a bulk, and how much i have to eat for it to be too littlw and make me hungry, so shall I just toggle it to find a balance and decrease it as deemed necesary ?

this is just my opinion, but i dont think you need to count them at all. keep them clean, do your cardio, if your not seeing enough progress decrease carbs slightly.

i think counting carbs too much could lead to starving yourself and big muscle loss. you should not be hungry. i was never hungry on my last cut and dropped th fat easily

I think that somone put a fairly comprehensive food list and carb content list on herer once or a link to it seems I cant remember.

I agree with jono though that unless you are competing and on a strict timetable etc you dont have to worry too much and count every carb you eat.

If you are trying to stick to a daily total, then yes, you should probably weigh your food - at least initially, until you can judge it by eye.

I always found carbs were the easiest thing to count. It was fats I had trouble with, since these vary depending on your meat. Anyway, there are some nutritional databases listed in our Links section you might find useful.
