yep..

will probably do CM as I'm still quite a bit shy of the 89kg weigh in target.

89kg? How tall are you grinder? Geepers I am 184.5 and need to be 86.5kg or under as per formula (height - 100 + 2kg).

Here was me thinking I was the lankiest bugger in NABBA lol!

See ya there if you make it bud

No offence but - bodybuilding is exactly that - bodybuilding. Not athletic, not shape, and godforbid they've brought in a bikini class (whats with that)?

Bodybuilders should look like bodybuilders, not like beafrons that are chasing a mirage of a MacDonalds outlet that doesn't exist. I believe there are some competitors around that are 70kg's that are over 5.8 - 5.9 - that believe "THEY ARE BORN TO BE BODYBUILDERS"! GET REAL!

Spend some time building mass as well as symmetry instead of trying to compete every year in a class that restricts competitors and keeps them small!!!! Thats not what bodybuilding is about. Far too many people do one or two shows and have the audacity to think they are seasoned competitors - to which they make uneducated remarks on a computer because they haven't got the balls to front up and step onstage with the "Big Boys" in an actual bodybuilding lineup!!!

When you do this, then you can make pathetic remarks like "Hmmm F*# Up!!! Good one! Glad to see that you have intelligence that goes with that too!!

Hey there Hawk, gee in the few posts Ive read from you I gotta say you got 1 hell of a chip on your shoulder

Gotta say I disagree with what you are saying, a lot of others may aswell....

For bodybuilding to grow it needs to cater "to the masses"

You dont necessarily have to be heavy to have a good physique

Simple as that

If you dont believe me I suggest you google Daniel Hibbs and let me know your thoughts on how much he weighed at Nats last year.

Based on what you are saying above, he would have NO RIGHT competing in your ideals for bodybuilding

The BIG BOYS are not necessarily the best boys!!

dylan yeah?

im pretty shure that rule is exempt in junior class-only for novice status in any other class

hmm well, good that you take advantage of the age limits, il do this also, tho i think there should be an increase in competitors in junior this year (well...all according to plan and the boys i know actually commit to competeing)

goodluk

I do understand where you are coming from, really I do. I have been to multiple comps where this has been the case. I am 184.5cm tall and on stage I weigh 86 on the nose so with NABBA's formula, 500g off the max weight for the Athletic Class. I in my own right I am a larger build, but unless I start doing some "stuff" I couldn't compete with the "born" bodybuilder's on stage and get away with it.

As I say, I do know what you mean, so kinda same page. I have been accused of doing the same thing (here's looking at you Ann ;-) ) But perhaps if you had explained what you meant instead of generalising that all Athelic bodydbuilders should take up running.

I guess you could say that the mini series has no part at being at the Hamilton V8's? :pfft:

Cheers all

Grego
