WNBF NZ bites the dust.

Looks like its all over before it even began.

From all reports there won't be a WNBF show in NZ this year.

Well done to everyone in NZ, now is there any chance that you can come over to Australia and get rid of the bastards from our country? :)

Ra Paku has said so herself, she is the person running WNBF in NZ.

The drug testing was proving to be too costly and would've meant that each competitor would need to pay $200 to enter the show.

Ra wisely decided that this was too much and has cancelled the show.

It's great to see that Ra was doing her best to get some serious drug testing for you guys.

The testing over here is a joke.

They use a $2 Pregnancy Tester kit that they buy off ebay for their urine test.

They give you the cup, tell you to go and fill it, then bring it back.

If you guys think that you are going to get tested properly, then think again.

If you are after "free" trophies and "paper titles" then come on over, the standard over here is dog-shit.

Do yourselves a favour and go to the Southern Hemisphere the week before.

Great promoter and a high standard comp.

Oh well, I just go compete in Australia then :pfft: I *might* be doing the WNBF Asia Pacifics this year.

As a genuine question, how will you be qualifing for the WNBF Asia?

Cheers!

I qualified last year by winning my class in a WNBF comp. I emailed Danny and asked him if I could compete in this years Asia Pacifics as I missed out last year due to a extreme allergic reaction after my State comp.

Oh right. I'm guessing you are an American competitor posting on these boards then? I assumed you were in NZ so i was looking to see how the 'qualifing process was done..

Is there any hope for qualifing into the national natty scene here in NZ?

Or are you better just to skip countries...

Is there a natural fed in NZ? I thought there was only NABBA and IFBB?

Also, I probably won't be competing much longer and I have a few friends that compete with WNBF so it'd be nice to compete with them.

Apparently you can qualify for the naturals by placing in the classic class (nzfbb).. I'm not sure which natural show that would place you in..

Either you are trying to be funny or you've been well and truly mislead .... the only event that placing in the top-3 of the Classic Men's class at an NZFBB regional event will qualify you for is the NZFBB NZ National champs that year. These "natural" organisations like INBA and WNBF having nothing at all to do with the NZFBB and v.v.

It's an insult to the INBA to be mentioned in the same breath as WNBF - they are poles apart here in Australia.

WNBF is completely unorganised and doesn't have any legitimate drug testing here in Aust, unlike INBA who have ASADA/WADA at their shows doing legitimate tests, (which cost around $900 each).

The standard of WNBF BBers over here is shit.

Anyone can win a title just by showing up.

Don't waste your time coming here unless you want a free trophy.

And don't worry about having to qualify either, they are desperate for competitors and will take anyone they can get.

LOL. THAT'S THE SAME AS ANY OTHER FEDERATION BRO. I SAW THE NABBA AUSTRALIANS IN PERTH AND ONE FEMALE BODYBUILDER SHOWED UP AND SHE WON THE OVERALL. THAT'S BULLSHIT BRO. SHE SHOULD HAVE LOST.

WTF???

How does being under a certain weight at a certain height qualify you as a natural :-s

Have a read of this:

http://www.ampedtraining.com/physique/l ... scle-mass/

I've read similar stories to this. But its all fairly convincing...

"To simplify, they took a large sampling of naturals and of steroid users then normalized their fat-free mass index (FFMI) scores. They found that the naturals all topped out at an adjusted score of 25, while the steroid users could easily cap 30. They also took bodybuilders from 1939-1959 and found that they had an average score of about 25.4. "

Interesting... I've heard of several organisations in the states using this test also, seems to be a fairly effective way of determining the differences..

Yeah I think it's interesting too. Only thing is you have to be quite certain about what your bodyfat percentage is as most people's guesses are way off sometimes.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

The standard of WNBF competitors in Australia is crap.

That's why people compete in WNBF over here, because they are not good enough to be competitive in any other federation.

So NABBA got a weak class with only one competitor - it happens every now and then.

Not many Aussie's will compete in WA because the flights are too expensive, therefore you can often get small classes over there.

Every WNBF class is weak over here.

Mind you, you're allowed to compete in 2-3 classes at each comp if you like, so you can really start racking up those "paper" titles if you're a "trophy hunter".

Pump them up all you like, but the truth of the matter is that anyone with half a brain over here knows just how shitful their shows are.

LOL!! Are you for real? I was being facetious smilieA10.gif

I see how this works now. I'm not allowed to make a blanket statement about a federation, but you are

I have competed with WNBF Australia, you have not. I can tell you the competitions I have competed in have been well run and a lot of fun. I don't embellish things - this is my experience. The last show I competed in had around 25 competitors and 300-400 people showed up in the audience. Another federation I joined took my money and didn't even send me my bloody registration number. The only time they want to know me is when I need to send them money again for the next year.

As for Danny Chau, he has always been very helpful. I remember when I was preparing for my first competition and was worried about the posing routine as I had never done anything like it before. He arranged for a figure competitor to message me to give me some pointers. Not only that he is very passionate about bodybuilding and will bend over backwards to help. To me, that can do nothing but help bodybuilding.

As for you Chip, your negativity does not help anyone that may want to give bodybuilding a try.

You can say whatever you like about any federation & so can I.

This is an open forum, everyone is entitled to have their say.

I'm simply here stating facts and telling the truth whereas you've been sucked in by Danny's lies and bullshit.

Nobody who has been around the sport for a long period of time has a good word to say about him.

He's burnt just about everyone he has ever dealt with.

Let's start with his drug testing.............or lack of it.

He claims to test every competitor at every show.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

His urine tests are not actually tests, they are just pre-cursor tests, Danny has admitted this himself.

In other words if the $2 Pregnancy Test looks a bit suss then you will undergo a Polygraph test.

The urine test itself is not a test, so only those who get put on the Polygraph are being tested.

No one has ever failed a Urinalysis test at a WNBF show because they are rubbish.

Mind you - the Polygraph is not at every show, so who knows what happens if your pretend urine test comes back looking suss?

There is not a single scrap of evidence to say that any competitor at Danny's shows has ever been tested.

No paperwork or lab results anywhere.

You only need to contact ASADA/WADA to get your INBA test results.

Why don't you ask Danny for your own personal test results?

He should have them if they are legitimate.

The Polygraph test - do we really need to explain what a load of old crap that is?

Already two innocent people have been caught - one for not knowing every single ingredient in his Red Clover supplement and the other failed one week after passing the Polygraph the week before.

Both guys are as clean as a whistle, in fact the kid who failed on his Red Clover supp competed the very next week at an INBA show where the promoter made sure he underwent a proper WADA drug test which he passed with flying colors.

I have the paper work in my office if you would like to see it.

Danny claims that his Polygraph test is admissible in a court of law - it isn't.

Not here in Australia and not in America.

Another one of his lies.

I have emails that Danny has sent to his promoters telling them how he intends to sabotage the timing of a competitor's Polygraph test to make sure that he misses his registration time for another federation's comp.

He tells his promoters not to go out of their way to be nice to this competitor as he competes for the "ENEMY".

Thats in my office too.

I have countless amounts of people who have seen and heard him get on stage at his bodybuilding shows and accuse other federations of not drug testing properly and claiming that all of their champions are drug cheats.

I've got pages and pages of stuff on Danny but I won't waste it on you as you are obviously not interested in the truth.

How is telling the truth being negative?

I have many good friends in NZ and I have had great support off competitors from NZ, so I would hate to see any of them waste their time and money by coming over here and doing one of Danny's crap shows.

Feel free to prove me wrong on any of these points - no one has yet.

What lies and bullshit do you think I'm concerned about? LOL smilieA10.gif

My concern has nothing to do with drug testing. That's your prerogative, Chip. My concern is you making blanket statements about the federation putting on crappy shows, when it can't be further from the truth.

I am here to tell people I have competed with the federation and have enjoyed doing so. Also, Danny being helpful towards competitors has nothing to do with drug testing, genius.

People can make up their own mind whether they wish to compete with WNBF, but lets keep the lies, goal post moving and blanket statements out of it.

What a goose you are.

You've done one show with Danny and you feel qualified to make a statement on all of them.

Perhaps you fluked it for a good show, but I can tell you now that they are crap.

Poorly run, poorly judged, small crowds and no testing.

I don't understand your argument.

Danny is the one that continually lies about his testing yet you are silly enough to support him.

Why would you want to support a promoter who promotes his shows falsely?

Please prove to me where I have lied or moved the goalposts.

I have simply stated the truth about Danny's shows, things that you wouldn't know about and are too stubborn to listen too.

I know a lot more about Danny's shows than you do, and a lot more than he would like me too.

It's time you woke up to the truth.

I challenge you or anybody else to dispute what I have said.

I have posted on this thread to make sure that people do have the choice to make up their own mind.

They can either believe me or you, thats for them to decide, but its only fair that they get to hear both sides, not just your biased an uneducated opinion.
