The Beep Test and Fat Loss Article

Beep test is a pretty standard measure of an athletes fitness levels.

The article seems to be logical and makes a couple of good points.

What exactly are you wanting feedback about though? The beep test or effective fat loss techniques?

The beep test 'method' is essentially saying that higher intensity workouts burn more fat. There is significant evidence to support this. I suggest you have a look on this site, or others, about HIIT.

However, the beep test itself wouldn't be that great for losing fat. Its not long enough and the although it does, at some point in the test, require people to work at a high intensity, the length of time where people are working at this higher intensity doesn't seem to be long enough. Its a fitness test and assessment tool - not to be used as a way of acheiving anything other than a gauge on your fitness.
