erm depending on how bad your dislocation and what type of dislocation it was (anterior etc) will dictate how long your diagnosed time you will be "out" for is. mine was anterior, and out of socket for 5 hours, expected to have 7 months of rehab.

i recovered in 3 8) but then i am super woman...

so your looking at around 3 months. since you were out for an hour [im assuming], and if you see physio, and do your strengthing exercises religiously [im talking never miss timeing, and if you do, make it up asap, whilst also being as tentative as you can with it] then you'll be top notch speedily.

are you in a sling atm?

... not everyone has giant endomorph joints lol. Don't worry about loosing gains everyone does but the simple fact is if your injured worrying is only going to make it take longer to heal and really do your head in. Go to a shoulder specialist get his opinion tell him about your goals at the gym and ask him for advice.

Ive done something similar in the past playing footy.

My advice is to rehab it FULLY or it could dog you for years!

Take all the acc physio visits you can get, do all the rehab exercises patiently and if one physio isnt working then try another. Dont take no for an answer with this! Healthy shoulders are soooo important for BBuilding, sports etc.

If the rehab takes a long time, you can still build some incredible wheels, abs and lower back muscles. That way, when you come back you other lifts and core moves will be way stronger! I'd advise getting a training partner to load the 20's on the leg press for you, but other than that you should syill be able to do Leg press, extensions, ham curls(seated and lying) adductor/abductor, hip flexion/extensions, leg press calf raises, seated calf raises, back extensions, crunchies, oblique twists etc.

Best of Luck!

it better not b 8-10 weeks. that would fucken suck cos i benched 90kg 4 the first time last week

IMO - your aspirations of powerlifting glory need to take the back seat for a while. If you don't take your time in healing your shoulder it's going to happen again and again with more frequency.

i have worked with a number of clients over the years and apart from a pec/bicep/quad tear and/or archillies break / rotator injury .... dislocations can be a real pain in the arse.

Take your time back in and as others have already said grow your legs big ... you can never have legs that are too big.

For sure, dislocated shoulder is abit of an arse, even after a 6 months i could only do certain movements and it felt like if i went and further it was going to pop out or give a massive crack. For some reason shoulder press is sweet as its just the up-right rows and the shoulder flies that killed me, in my experience its ALOT more painfull to dislocate your elbow! i hope you can get back on track soon.
