Need honest advice???

Recommended Posts

hey every one...firstly i just wanna say this place is exactly what newbees to BB like me need....its the best and so is its members...

i been training for 2 years now, but to be honest you can count out the first year coze all i was doing was eating lik a pig and the goal was to get BIG...and training like losers coze i had no idea wat i was doing.i didnt even know how to train each muscle or any thing......i shot up from 75 kgs to 103kgs in my first year but as u might have guessed it ... i was flabby and stuff, so then started doing cardio, studied about bodybuilding and tried to find me suitable workouts,

so basicly im happy with my results...now im 95kgs 183cm tall and not flaby at all...(dont have a six pack though)..lol....but i think i have become obssesed with BB now and i wanna speed up gains, so i been reading up about gear and stuff...but its really confusing wat stuff to buy, should i even go on gear or should i just carry on working my ass off at the gym, and probably not fulfill my dream of competing in BB...

i just need some honest advise guys...jst tell me str8 up plz if i should gt on the drugs or not...and f i do, wat would be my best option...

cheers

Come on, Boostinggtir, what purpose did that comment have? It doesn't help anyone.

Muscleseeker, if you've only been training seriously for a year, you've still got plenty of learning to do. I don't just mean textbook learning about diets, routines, etc, but also about what your body responds to and how.

Your best option is to carry on training your arse off, and do a competition or three. You don't need gear for that, and especially not if you're already sitting at those stats. After training (and competing) for a bit, you'll be in a much better position to decide whether to take things further.

How old are you muscleseeker, I'm guessing you may be in your late teens or early twenties. If so you have got heaps of natural test running through your body at the mo and you can still pack on more size without even thinking about using gear yet.

Would be interested to know what weight you were when you started training. Nothing wrong with 95 kilos mate that's around the 15 stone mark I think. There's lots of guys who would love to be your size. Don't rush things, bodybuilding is a great sport and a way of life and with all great things it takes time.

If you are felling a little stale then look at things like your training, change exercises around, mix things up. Same with your diet, try different foods etc. Don't worry about not seeing the six pack at this stage as you know it's there. Keep training hard, eat lots of good food and when you are happy you can adjust things so you lose fat and keep your well earned muscle. :)

keep going hard with ur natural gains bud, i wish i didnt do a cycle so early as now its really hard to gain without it...

i think u should study more about gear itself because u should have a decent base knowlage of most compounds before you even think of inj them into yourself

im sure there is a link on this site to the anabolic guide and there is another thread about first time cycles

Must be just you bro, but as you know i have cycled before aswell. Im back to o-natural and im finding its back to the same as pre cycle.. Infact i think i have some muscle memory from cycle and i seem to be filling up quite fast... food for thought.

I just think in his case, there's a few things holding him back. Do a 5000cal diet + hard training + no piss an green. Then tell me your not growing.

You have no chance, if your telling yourself you can't grow with out the gear.

post up stats age weight Body fat, training programme, max lifts, and an example of your daily diet for us to have a look at.

also have you used supplements before? thats another avenue to enhance gains with out gear. If you havent i can recommend a few products i have seen good results with clients and myself.

Honestly sounds like you want a quick option, which is understandable but bodybuilding is a long term thing. look at the pros (even though there on stuff) alot of them are in there 30s etc. so theres some thing to think about.

plus can you afford to run a cycle with all the needed axillarys and supplements and food you will need?

You have to make your own informed decission on this. Never let anyone else tell you, or push you, into using gear. There are many things to consider before you go down that path & some have been raised above ^^^.

IMO - waiting longer is the better option in most cases. I find that guys/gals that go on at a young age (pre-25) without a long natural base of training tend to develop unbalanced muscle structures.

The benefit of waiting longer in your case iisn't nessesarily to look at what you can get to naturally but should be more about honing you skill and discipline as a weight trainer. The more you know about your body and the styles of training your body responds too - the better the results will be if/when you descide to take this path.

In my first 3 years of training I reached 110kg '97 / 120kg 98 / and then peaked at 130kg in '99 without any gear. at those weights I definately wasn't lean but could out bench / squat and deadlift anyone in the gym. During those years I tried many different types of diet and training cycles and was able to figure out how my body best responded to rest/reps and nutrition.

You have made some good progress but still have a way to go before you truely understand how YOUR body works. If you put the time in over the next few years ... IMO you will be a better athlete and a stronger competitor.

Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one

Hi Mate,

Keep training hard, and learn about diet. 2 years lifting isn't much really.

I promise you now the gains will come when you diet and train correctly.

Your sitting at a good weight mate, so reach your limit natty then consider gear.
