Ok, so what are good snacks to eat when I am busy? I am a Dog groomer and work for myself. I don't stop for lunch etc when grooming, so then i tend to eat badly, like handfulls of m and m's, drink coke etc to keep me going. What would be good to eat that dog hair won't stick to?

Off season try the good old fatty one with chives/garlic yummo, more creamy and not so much like lumpy snot :grin: Or stop being a girls blouse :nod:

:pfft: :pfft: :pfft:

Cottage cheese is yummy, I sprinkle lemon pepper on the top. Its tinned fish that I gag at, and that is not even eating it, thats just the smell. hahaha

Tried cottage cheese myself and I'd leave it in the shop with tuna.

Used to put sweet chilli sauce on top which wasn't bad, then tried mixing it with weight watchers jelly crystals.

Ewwwwwwwww with jelly crystals? I have mixed it with yogurt, and that is a little dodgy. lol. I don't do fish of any kind at all.

Home made protein biscuits

- 5 scoops Chocolate flavoured protein powder (18gms protein pre scoop)

- 2 tablespoons organic peanut butter

- 1/4 cup olive oil

- 1/2 cup oats

- 8 prunes finely chopped

- 2 teaspoons fresh ginger finely chopped

- 1/4 to 1/2 cup water

In a large glass bowl microwave peanut butter for 1min then add oats, oil, prunes & ginger and mix together.

Add protein powder and 1/4 cup of water mix together till you get a "play dough" like consistency, if mixture is to dry add another 1/4 cup of water a little at a time till it comes right.

mixture will make 6-7 biscuits

Bake in the oven for 10-15min at 180degC.

They sound great - but I'd use a bowl. Any thing mixed in a bowel is best left in there. :pfft:

If you made a protein brownie etc etc thing. As soon as heat hits it, most of the goodness is lost. Becbec gave some good advice imo.

tuna, almonds, fresh fruit, protein shakes (you can pre make these)

infact you can pre make anything and cut it into snack size pieces!!

question solved

what is the calories in this?

Per Biscuit (based on mix making 6 & protein powder = 73%)

Protein = 17g

Fat total = 14g Saturated = 2.5g

Carbs total = 13g Sugar = 4g

Fibre = 2.5g

works out around $1.50 per biscuit

If your a snacker BECBEC is right, just pre-cook and cut into snack/bite sized bits. Ie Cooked chicken breast, steak, fish etc - just keep in containers and in a cooler. You could also make mini protein pancakes or tuna fish cakes. (If you don't mind the smell) Boiled egg whites - pre-peeled and remove the yolk.
