when to take the protein shakes?

I need help deciding when to have them.

I want to take just 3 a day.

Currently I take 1 in the morning and 2 post-workout.

I can't take during day when I'm busy. I usually get home from the gym about 6-8pm on weekdays. and 3-5pm weekends.

I say that cuz

I'm not sure if 2 post workout and 1 before bed is a good idea,that would have me taking alot pretty much at the same time of day.

What else could I do?

Any help?

Also I tell that I have dinner right after workout. Usually just after mah 2 post workout shakes. And I mean RIGHT after, cuz its waitin there for me in the microwave gettin cold hoping noone has snuck into it and eated it :-s

as that ghostn guy says, I might do the same as him.

Think that I'm better off with food for protein.

Food or milk.

about 30 grams serve of protein powder with 20 grams of protien.

Well at the same price I can get about 500 mls of milk that has about 15 grams of protein.

Seems i'd probably be better off with the milk maybe.
