yes i run yoga classes and would be delighted to show you some stretches anytime and any place thats convenient for you, i think together we can get some real flexibility going, especially if you are very toight. Perhaps if you bring some friends along, we can all learn off each others bodies and shit

I use weights for stretching and find it gives a better stretch.

For example, when stretching the pecs I grab a couple of heavy dumbbells and lie on a bench in the press position. Just hold the weights in the bottom of the stretch as low as I can for a good stretch.

For triceps I just hold a heavy dumbbell behind my head. :)

Stretching cold muscles is not recommended as this can actually cause a strain. It is advisable to warm up with light weights before stretching.

I always used to pull hamstring or groin muscles before I started stretching.

I do 5 minutes on stationary bike then do stretching before doing another 2 minutes on the bike.

I stretch shoulders after the workout to prevent injuries due to lack of flexibility.

And please can the posts be clean as it gets really boring.

So much scientific research has proven the benefits of stretching and the help of development of muscles in relation to the restriction of fascia, which can restrict the muscle growth, and stretching helps recovery heaps. I do a really good stretch before and after any work out.

I stretch before, during and after a workout (mostly during). I also try to stretch on rest days.

I feel stretching is critical as you get older and lift heavier. I know plenty of guys who like that tight feeling in the muscle the day after a workout but, umm that's not really a good thing in the long term (plenty of research to back this up - just Google).

I have always done it (having done martial arts in the past I guess it's been engrained in me), I was 67kg when doing Wushu and now 87kg as a body builder (and growing...) I can still touch my toes (palms on the floor) and kick above my head (albeit rather slowly these days).

There was a time when I stopped stretching and felt like the stereotypical muscle bound hunk of meat. I found as my thighs got to 24-25 inches I started walking like a duck, getting back to proper stretching sorted that out.

I really admire the Pros who are still nimble at 110kg+ and can display that in their posing routines, shit just take a look at Kai Green's routine at the Arnold this year and you can't help but be impressed.

Individual results may vary.
