The implications for damages against the site owners would be an open book. In order to get access I would assume a warrant specifically identifying someone and username would be required.

Hard to produce ....

I still think Luigi is a 13 year old girl guide living in Vancouver that has a dog named primo and a fish called Winnie :pfft:

Not at all. If the police gathered the information properly (i.e. legit search warrant) or that information was passed on by the receiver of the PM then it's fair game in court.

But yes the warrant would need to be specific. They couldn't just go looking through everyone's PMs.

MuscleRoids, aka Hog, I'm not impressed that you posted this allegation as a statement of fact without even talking to me about it first.

Let me make this quite clear:

If we are shown a legal requirement to provide information to anyone, we will meet that requirement. Otherwise, that information is private. As far as I'm aware, no government agency has accessed anyone's PMs, and I have had no contact with any of them.

I hope this answers the question of whether you can "trust the administrator of this forum".

(Incidentally, AO, this reply is just over 12 hours since MuscleRoids' post. My apologies if that's not fast enough.)

Psydonym might be completely accurate with his details of not being approached by medsafe or any government official however when it comes to the government what is to stop them bypassing admin and looking into pm's? Most would say the law but how often has that been proved to be broken by the very people making it?

Im sure with the right tools they would easily be able to access anyones messages. After all if a 12year old can break the windows code to allow copying of XP (possibly vista) it cant be hard for the right attack to get into private messages.

After all America like to make reference to the 'drug war'. In war are official rules laid out? I think not.

This has happen on this forum to one of our guys. the administrator let medsafe and the cops in and copy all there PMs and messages on the nzbb forum.

How can we trust the administrator of this forum ?????

Pseudo's always been open with us about issues concerning the forum. Nothing about Medsafe or the Govt or friggen Area 51 has been mentioned in conjunction with your PMs.

If you get caught, its because you have a big mouth or your careless. Don't blame other people :roll:
